An overall good experience. We were able to book a table for 10 people on a Sunday afternoon with no problem. Food came in a reasonable time. If you're Vegetarian, the meat-free carvery is only £4.99! Bargain! If you're feeling a bit adventurous, there is a roast dinner calzone.. it's an experience Warning; if you are vegan, you might struggle to find something to eat here.
Paid for all you can eat breakfast, i ate as much breakfast as i could eat. All in all a very successful mission for both parties involved. Place was clean, seats were comfy. Plates were given to us the second we ordered, The breakfast was very good. Beans were hot , bacon was hot . Eggs were cooked nicely. Sausages tasted nice, and all food was kept hot under professional grade heat lamps. 16 quid for 2 adults and you can have as much as you like. You wont get that value within a 2 minute walk of home. Shame Tina didn't like it though
It’s always got an element of a gamble but recently it’s always been great for us. Not too expensive and good food ready to go. Sometimes you might not get a table, sometimes you might be waiting for a while but typically if you have the carvery it’s a safe bet you’ll be well fed and leave feeling full and happy. Sure it’s a little run down inside and if you go during a busy spell the tables might still have food on them or be a bit sticky but if you don’t mind the gamble then it’s pretty good. Been about 5 times in last 2 months and each time had no issues and been good
We usually have the carvery at the ‘Louis’ and are never disappointed. The food is always fresh, plentiful and hot. It’s also reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Karen, who always remembers us and makes sure we’re happy with everything. However busy she is, she always makes time to chat to her customers and makes everyone feel very welcome.
Karen is such a lovely waitress. Every time I come in with the girls or my partner she always provides a first class service. Natalie is a fantastic Chef! Wonderful service, wonderful food. Thank you girls! The dream team! Look forward to seeing you all again soon!
Absolutely stunning roast and top table service! The roast was full of different flavours and cooked to perfection!, as some places all the veg taste so bland but here is absolutely flavoursome, Table service nothing too much bother especially with having 4 children being a little loud and indecisive, our waitress was fab! Huge 5 stars if give more if I could, especially to Lea, Karen, Rob and Ryan! Keep up the awesome hard work and yummy food!
Place needs a good clean up and redecoration. Wall paper peeling, and seat covers completely worn through. The breakfast was very poor. Beans were cold, bacon was cold. I was lucky enough to choose an egg that wasn't totally dried up. Sausages tasted nice, but we're only luke warm. Everything kept under a heat lamp. Had to ask for plates. And all for £30+. Two kids & 2 adults. 2 minutes round the corner we could have had it freshly cooked to order for under £20. Guess where we're going next time. It was so disappointing.
Haven’t been here for ages, nipped in today for a bite to eat with the family whilst out walking the dog, Very welcoming & friendly staff, served with a smiley, positive attitude especially Andy & Serena, they were very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu & mobile app etc The food carvery was very tasty and the kids enjoyed the ice cream machine. I would of gave it a 5 star but I felt the venue it’s self looks tired and needs some TLC and updating but other than that it was a nice experience and we will be returning .
Great service, staff are friendly helpful and welcoming. Lovely food- best carvery for the price. Plenty of choice of meats and vegetables. Can have regular, small or large. Parking Toilets Bar area and dining area Outdoor seating Plus a great menu with a wide selection if carvery isn't your thing. Such as burgers, Pizzas, wraps. Also do breakfast! Kids menu available Forgot roast pic as was so yummy
Very much enjoyed my visit today, service was excellent, the waiter was really friendly and made us feel really welcome. The food was sensational, a massive hit was the pizza wheels I've never seen them on a menu before and my daughter absolutely loves them at school. Will definitely be coming back soon.
