It isn't a particularly bad place, but I doubt I will be rushing back. To be fair, with the 50%discount it was "reasonable " prices - I would not have been so relaxed paying full price. Wasn't overly pleased to be sat next to the serving area as the fan was just too noisy and at a level that really messed up my tinnitus... yes we could have asked to be moved, but trying to get hold of someone to talk to proved virtually impossible- no one seemed like they really wanted to be there. The food wasn't great, the sirloin steaks were very grisly, I have had better rumps. Portions fairly poor, which seems to be normal these days. Very surprised to only get a few sachets of sauce and not bottles. Eventually managed to get some absolutely vile tasting barbecue sauce... Soft drink refills were pointless because you had to try and ask for them, if you could get the attention of someone... I'm not sure whether to mention the guy serving who picked his nose at the servery before taking a meal out... I guess this happens everywhere. We didn't stay for dessert.
Good beefeater, very quiet on a Tuesday midday but was quick service and a full menu. Unlimited soft drinks are worth getting. Just buy and get free refills at the bar. Nice seating with a variety of chair types from sofas to stools. Food was good, I had a steak sandwich with a side of cauliflower fried. All arrived quickly and staff were very friendly. Vegetarian options: Had a few options on the menu Kid-friendliness: Plenty out outdoor seating for families with some grass for kids to play on. Parking: Plenty of parking next to the premiere inn too.
Sunday night stop on A5. Not been here for many many years. Understandably they had a few things out of stock- fine as we just fancied burgers. Ordered 2 * Big Dippers. 15 quid each. 2 very different burgers came. Wife’s was decent and burgers were cooked well. Stack was well built and substituted sweet potato fries and coleslaw looked good. Mine had 2 over dry burgers, a mess of very hot coleslaw and a smaller smattering of fries see pic. Felt like one had been either left on the pass too long or cobbled together from bits. Not sure how 2 identical orders can leave a pass and be so different. I get that there are clearly staff shortages here and a couple of the waiting staff are trying to be professional but front of house seems genuinely fed up and the kitchen doesn’t seem to care. Come if you have a voucher these seem to be expected but at menu price the food is simply not worth it.
Great service for a big chain. Diane was an excellent server. Food was very tasty as well! We didn't book but was seated very quickly. Worth going to in Cannock for a regular meal.Food: 5/5
The friendliness and professional nature of the waitresses was what impressed me with this place today. True, the food was lovely, cooked well and presented to a high standard, the choices on the menu were good and catered to a wide range of meat eating, veggie and vegan tastes, and the price was reasonable. These things should come as standard with restaurant. Overall though I would come again due to the staff there. Thank you for making our family celebration go well!
First time visitor to The Longford and first time I’ve been to Beefeater in many a year. We ordered the 3 course valentines meal, food was great, starters were excellent and ribeye steak was beautifully cooked. I was a little disappointed in the sharer dessert but overall the food was great. Staff were lovely and friendly - especially our waitress and all the staff looked happy which is always a good sign. Only downside is the website says ‘sign up for 25% off’ so we signed up and never got the discount which was disappointing. Will go again
Visit here 2018 and become regularly since . Like it here, Staffs are very polite, friendly and helpful. Foods are delicious, 100% recommended. I usually take lots of photos, unfortunately can't find best one to put on , as I had too many , but yes , foods are good here
This is possibly one of the best beefeater we have been to. It was spacious and plenty of room between each table instead of being crammed together. The food was absolutely piping hot and stayed hot through the meal, we've been to some and the food comes out lukewarm and goes cold really quick. Our server was fantastic. Will definitely come here again Wheelchair accessibility: I'm currently on crutches and couldn't manage the 3 steps leading in, but next to the steps was a ramp for me to use, it wasn't too steep either.
Quality of the food as expected, good but not exaggerating. EDIT: the breakfast service is absolutely the worst. As only one person in the restaurant they keep you waiting forever. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Not bad, but could be so much better by attending to details. Bar meals served but then get told where to find cutlery once food is delivered - only to find the station's empty see photo- bring cutlery with the food! Most staff very pleasant, but one or two are quite abrupt to the point of rudeness. Prices reasonable and food decent enough, McDonald's across the road is safe from my custom for the moment.
