Bit of a mixed bag of shops, most people probably go there for the station that's at the top of the hill, with a few shops there, gents hairdressers, newsagents/ post office chip shop,chinese restaurant, Indian restaurant, cafe, plumbers merchant, opticians & wine bar, around the corner going down is doctors, waitrose, jewellers, betting office, chemist, Indian takeaway, estate agents x2, another chemist,Co op bakers, funeral parlour, one nationwide, dry cleaners, Turkish restaurant, another chip shop, hardware shop, pet shop, off licence, kebab shop, pub & petrol garage, tyre place around the corner, dentists, dry cleaners....most people do shop out of the area for a big shop as bluewater is only 10/15 mins away....BUT!!! The main warning is the traffic warden's .....they 'fly in' & half the time the ticket just comes through the post
Very small station, more of a cubicle really, two platforms and a bridge over the tracks to get to the other side, which is great for taking photos of passing trains. There really isn't much else hear to rave about. At night the smell of urine and the closed office make it feel quite rural, despite it being it being in the heart of Longfield, however staff were very helpful and really got our trip to London off to a good start, so an extra start for service if not surrounding.
Far too much antisocial behaviour in that train station, Friday and Saturday nights are the worst, screaming shouting, arguments and fights. The train station have been notified of this issue but simply don't care.
Took an overseas visitor to Longfield station this morning who was travelling into Victoria and then having to travel via Clapham Junction to Godalming. The young man in the ticket office was brilliant. Very pleasant and extremely helpful. He even enquired if my friend needed any help with the connections and proceeded to print off instructions. He is a credit and a good advertisement to your company.
The Cost for trains is just to much, it is a garbage service, the trains are always late, the trains are always dirty, the train ticket prices are 200% overpriced, this is why the planet is doomed, just use cars.
