Last visited pre covid, thoroughly enjoyed coming back, lovely friendly staff. Stunning views from the Conservatory. As a veggie, I enjoyed the food, but could have done with a chilli warning! My Brother-in-Law enjoyed the meat and fush options. I will go back, but need to check chilli levels. Decent shared car park with the pub, there is a ramp to the left hand side of the pub. Vegetarian options: Good choice, but not marked for chilli rating! Complimentary salted peanuts for veggies served seperately from the prawn crackers Parking: Drive into from the pub, shared car park with spaces marked for the Restaurant Wheelchair accessibility: Ramped path from the side you need to head back towards the side of the pub to access the ramp after parking. See photos for door access. Apologues, I dud not check loos this time...
Decor is lacking a little but the food is lovely cash only isn’t to much of a problem but in this day and age it’s time to get a card machine
The food was beautiful piping hot and tasty the meat was very tender in both meals. The wait staff were very attentive and made sure we were looked after for the entire meal.Food: 5/5
A pretty spontaneous visit to this take away tonight, we had visited Whitby on a whim whilst staying at our static caravan along the East Coast and after googling local Chinese take aways we were directed here.... Best Chinese Ever! We parked on the street overlooking the sea while a lovely, polite girl answered the phone and took our order. We had a 20 minute wait with the most beautiful view in front of us before collecting our meal. The meal was cooked to perfection, the free prawn crackers were the best we have ever tasted and we really appreciated the free fortune cookies as well! Brilliant location, wonderful food and excellent service. Thank you so much xxx
Update, visited today3/6/22 and pretty much had what we had before, again beautiful food and great staff. Still cash only though. September 21 We ate at the restaurant and hadn't booked, they do currently have a few covid restrictions still in place, they require your contact details and a temperature check. The food we ordered was really good, the crispy beef in sweet chilli sauce was easily my favorite. Quite quick service too. One thing to remember when we went it was cash only.

I really wanted to like this place based on the good reviews. But on visiting it I didn't enjoy it at all! Even worse when I persuaded 3 other people that it would be great!! The room we were in was freezing for a start. I appreciate that the conservatory was being redecorated but still.....on a cold November night I expected it warmer. The food was poor. Plates hot but not so much the food. I had a chicken dish. It looked and tasted bland. And not like chicken? And I could distinctly taste bleach which really put me off. What saved our night was the Metunes bar next door. Sorry Long King but it was a big no from us
When we go to Whitby we use Long King for our takeout. They are a great bunch and very patient. They always know your order when it comes out. They are fast at production of the dishes. I would recommend them to everyone. The dishes are very tasty and plentiful. You must give them a try. Kid-friendliness: Very friendly to all. X Parking: There is ample parking.
The only proper Chinese restaurant in Whitby
