Normally this establishment provides good food, but recently had an occasion to buy simply a bag of chips. £4.10, I was disgusted with the price which not doubt has been fuelled by increases in raw material costs, but £4.10 for a large bag of chips, everyone needs to make money but come on.....

Usually very very good, but first time was below the usual very high standards and this time i was there to review. Service was very good as per usual It was very very busy! Next time i will visit after rush hour tea time period, when quality i believe is much bespoke! Order of larger chips and large cod with two medium cod an two medium chips... Ended with three cod closely the same size an felt a little robbed. Usually large is very large, Chips was good and fish was nice enough but smaller than usual.... Chips usually better and fish batter thicker and crunchier...

Visited this shop this week and to my surprise they do not offer regular chip shop vinegar & salt as they serve your order instead they give you sachets which in my mind is not the same!  When I asked why they blamed it on COVID!!  I can understand they may not want to have customers handles bottle but they should be able to do it as they are cooking my order.

Possibly the worst chips I have had in a long time! Twice in the same month,  I received warmed up or refried chips which tasted ghastly. These chips were clearly refried from the day before since I was customer number 2 at 12:15pm.  The fish was very average in quality and taste. I will not be frequenting Long John’s again. A complete waste of money and very disappointing!

Would not bother just for standard chip it's 3 pound,I understand thing are going up but its more like a small bag of chips won't be going there again.

I ordered last night and was not impressed ....... when my order arrived, the chips were half cold and there was more batter than fish. I will not be ordering again :

Awful. £4.10 for a large chips which didn't feed 2 adults. Tasted like they were warmed through from lunchtime. Will be going back to Tatnam Chip shop where a large chips feeds 3 adults and some spare.

Been driving all day stopped for fish and chips ,and wish I'd not bothered the chip were bloody awful dry hard and more than likely refried from earlier in the dsy and as for the fish much the same over cooked very dry !! Will never go to this fish an chip shop again .

Good sized portions for your money, clean & tidy, my order was cooked to order possibly as they weren't busy.

Bit a long wait but nice fish and chips do offer kids meals just not on the menuFood: 4/5
