Very convenient park and ride, only a short walk to the bus stop to and from the car park. As pensioners it was free to travel using our bus pass. Quick and easy for us.
Simple to use and far more pleasant than city centre parking.nnHowever note that there are no baby changing facilities at all - we checked both men's, women's, and disabled toilets and ended up having to use our portable change mat on the floor.
Massive thank you to driver of 505 on evening of Saturday 23 August. Reunited my son with his wallet which he left on the bus early evening. Extremely grateful
Used Ashton park and ride Saturday at 11am to get to Harbour festival. When I got on with daughter I front of my husband I was shout at by a polish man in red standing by doors . TAP TAP , I said my husband will pay . I didn’t care a bag my husband had the card He said NO 3 DiFFERENT CARDS . I said we don’t have 3 different cards , realising this was the driver. Again he repeated it must be 3 different cards.. I said to him we will have to get off because we haven’t come out with 3 cards toTAP .. the then very angrily faces got onto bus opened cab got in and waved my husbands to Tap . To be honest at that point I wish we just got on and drove into Town. He didn’t have a badge number or ID to identify to report. On our return journey at 13.30 waiting for the M2 back to Ashton the same Driver pulled up we got on said 3 husband Tapped we got on … Why couldn’t this of been the cases at the start it wasn’t only us and man in front had to find a different card and used his saving card just to pay for his wife … people around us were all moaning about it . The route was another issue nThis is easy to fix . Get drivers that want to work for you . Drivers that smile and communicate while sat in their seat not expecting passengers to do their job we are paying their wages .nQuicker routes , using the bus lane we’ve begrudgingly paid for , And answer these reviewsnWould also help . It would stop people blocking your complaints line .
The service runs well but the facilities are dire. The car park floods badly in the winter and the main building is in need of some major maintenance. The men's toilets are a health and safety hazard and usually swimming in urine! Paint is flaking off all around the building and some serious tlc is required.
