Helpful staff. It's busy, but not hard to find your way around. I needed help because my bus wasn't on the board, and a staff member needed all of 5 seconds to point me in the right direction.
This is a very good bus station.It is spacious,well designed and connects many bus routes in Northern Ireland.It is always possible to connect to bus routes in the Republic of Ireland.The staff and drivers are very friendly and helpful. There is a very atmosphere and toilets are provided.
The bus terminal is very close to Shipquay; it only takes about four minutes to walk there, which was very convenient. I bought the ticket £4 at the counter and got on bus #234. I forgot that they actually accept credit cards. The bus left the terminal on time 1210pm. The journey from Londonderry to City of Derry Airport had four stops and took about 30 minutes.
Today at 9.25 I left my wife off at the pickup point for the 212 to Belfast Station from derry pickup park at drumahoe.nAs I arrive I seen the bus waiting as passengers were paying, I parked my car beside the bus not blocking or obstructive in any way.nAs my wife walked past the front of the bus the driver closed the doors and gave me a filthy look, for what reasons I'm lost.nThen my wife knocked on the door and he thought about not opening and then seen that indeed I was watching his bad behaviour.nHe then opened the door.nItwenty minutes later I called my wife and asked was that guy rude to you.nHer response was absolutely.......a horrible grumpy man, a terrible representation of translink.nClearly this very unhappy man needs some serious customer training.
A fine bus station. Clean, free toilets, and a decent waiting area. Handy location near the city centre.
