A wildlife haven in the city, a good day out for anyone interested in nature or just a place to get away. Spent about 4 hours here. Saw a variety of birds. Various lakes to walk around , with hides to sit and watch the wildlife . Most have books on the hides for identifying the birds. They have a cage on site and the obligatory gift shop to walk through to exit the building. All in all a lovely day out .
Pleasant place to wander around on a sunny day. Quite a few exotic ducks and geese on the small ponds. I think this is a great place to bring children to educate them about nature. Best to bring binoculars to get better bird watching experience. I thought the admission price was a little steep for what is on offer, there are better reserves near where I live in East Sussex.
Such a beautiful place and an oasis of calm . For my adult autistic daughter and me it is our “ happy” place . We went towards the end of the pandemic and regularly after that because it restores us both and gives us tranquility. The variety of birds is huge and there is plenty of information about the different species . It is set out beautifully and you can walk and walk past the different watery landscapes listening to the birds calling and the wind rustling in the reeds. Also there is a fantastic cafe and a great gift shop!
It was really quiet n pretty wet but had a lovely day n spent a lot longer there than we thought we would as so much to see and do and it was a lot bigger than expected. No hot food available as an issue in the kitchen. The tall hides were brilliant with 360° panoramic views and all the bridges and pathways made it so interesting. Loved the herons and cranes and the entertaining otters. Definitely will be going back.
Absolutely stunning. I never knew that in London without going far away we have so beautiful and peaceful place. So many different species of duck, amazing vuews and PEACE PEACE PEACE. So quiet and in words so hard to express the joy we got. We spent all day just walking and taking in Fresh air.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
The WWT centre offers a fantastic space to escape the city while still being within it. It's a great destination for nature enthusiasts, with a wealth of different bird species to observe and learn about, set in a well-conserved natural environment. Spent a few pleasant hours visiting, with an easy stroll around the grounds. Tickets can be purchased on-site.
Fantastic place to see birds and other wildlife. Plenty of hides and observation areas, easily traversed, not too big - easy to see everything in a few hours. Nice facilities, easy parking, and the staff were super friendly. Will definitely return.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Incredible green space on the edge of the Thames. A calm oasis in the middle of London. The staff are lovely and knowledgeable and there's a decent café on site with some delicious options. Make sure you visit the Peacock Tower hideVisited onWeekdayWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNot sure
A place for kids and kids at heart! My most favourite part of the area is the Wild Walk. The rest of the area are mainly information about birds. If you have CSSC membership, you'll get 50% off the entrance fee but need to book it from CSSC site.
Absolutely wonderful place. I can't describe how nice it actually is. I really do enjoy coming here and have become a member...i just couldn't resist it.
