Brilliant park and free entry. Even had free 90 minutes parking. Amazing. Lots of diverse landscapes, fields, woodland, rivers and lakes, plus a wetlands centre and a rose garden. Some interesting buildings too.
If you have children that you want to keep busy and away from a screen you've happened upon a FREE day out except for parking which is a steal as you get an hour and a half free!!!. There are multiple play areas which are child friendly, there are lots of open spaces for dogs to play, lots of quiet areas if you want to be at peace with nature and perhaps read a book or do some art. There is an extensive gardening shop on site that has flowers, herbs, trees, pottery, and lots of gardening items. There's a cafe which offers a range of items for snack, and there is ice cream!!!
This is a beautiful park with a lovely rose garden and walks by the river. There is a wetland walk in the middle that is popular with school trips. Nice and scenic with a wild look about it to keep it as natural looking as possible. There is no public access to Morden Hall House. The National Trust car park opening times are 9am to 5pm. The park itself has more or less 24hrs access
As someone who loves nature and enjoys peaceful retreats, I find National Trust - Morden Hall Park to be an absolute haven. Nestled in the heart of Morden, this park offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. From the moment I enter, I'm greeted by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of the river winding its way through the park. The trails are beautifully maintained, making every walk a delightful experience. Whether I'm looking for a leisurely stroll or a more vigorous hike, the park caters to all my moods and energy levels. The historical aspect of Morden Hall Park is fascinating. The old snuff mill adds a unique touch, and I love exploring the restored buildings to get a glimpse of the area's rich industrial past. It's a wonderful way to combine a love of history with my passion for the outdoors. For families, this park is a treasure trove. The natural play area is a hit with kids, offering plenty of space to explore and have fun. It combines natural beauty, historical charm, and a sense of community in a way that's truly special. Whether I'm with family or enjoying some solo time, it's always a rewarding experience. I highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for a little slice of paradise in Morden.
Picturesque views and a well maintained park. Can easily spend half day here if the weather supports with kids . I was here on a Sunday at about 4.30pm, didn’t take note of the fact that the cafes housed within the park close by 4 and 5pm. Further the car park and few of the park entry gates in the proximity to the car parks close by 6pm. However, the park in itself is open beyond this time.
Let’s scene set … it was a very damp day. As NT Members we were looking for a place to visit before going on to Wimbledon. Decent parking ‘free for NT Members’ . A quaint cafe. We enjoyed our ‘strut’, the ‘story of snuff’ onsite and the second hand bookshop. To top it off very well stocked Garden Centre. Dog friendly.
Nature never disappoints! If you love roses, the rose garden is a great place to visit. The park itself has a lot of ground for jogging, walking, walking your dog etc. Has a playground, restroom, café and a picnic area. At one of its entrances there is a also great garden centre. Playground: Just passed near it - did not use it Restrooms: Available - tried to use it did not wait as there was a group of school kids so cannot comment on how clean and functional - but available Dog-friendliness: Ideal place for dog walker Picnic area: A lot of tablé with seats ready to use
Great for walking your dogs and free parking for one and a half hours .Just enough to walk the grounds and browse the garden centre. If you wish to spend more time then the cost is very reasonable.Lots of wildlife to observe. Dog-friendliness: Great spaces for your dogs to roam and the garden centre is dog friendly
Nice park. Full of people on a saturday afternoon enjoying the sun and water. Lots of doggies about as well, having a good time with their owners. Pity there is some rubbish lying around.
Come here on the regular to walk my dog. Lots of dogs, families come here. There's also a cute cafe with decent coffee and ice cream for dogs! Playground: There's a small playground area near the cafe Restrooms: There's a toilet at the front in the cafe Dog-friendliness: Plenty of dogs, can be off leash in the main park Picnic area: Plenty of open space to have picnics on the grass
