Takeley's friendly Londis store and post office is on a linear development busy road, serving the village and passing customers. There is parking, but limited. It carries most popular requirements, snacks, and a small range of ready meals. A real draw introduced in 2017 is the make-your-own coffee machine, like a fuel station Costa, but at the time of posting much better quality and stronger than Costa. Worth a visit just for that.

Good little local shop got every thing you need for day to day. A little more expensive than a supermarket but still reasonable prices. Very perlite staff

Tight as a nuns chuff in here. Charges 5p for a plastic bag, charges 50p for card payments, and if you want to get cash out its £1.85. What they don't tell you is you can use the post office in store to get cash for free. In my local shop there is a free cash machine, and bags are free too. There is providing a service to your local community who keep you employed, and there's ripping them off for every penny you can get.

super friendly staff, know many of their customers by name, with a post office inside. I even requested certain items, and the owner carried them for me!
