This no longer exists as a golf club closed and the club house burnt down a few yrs ago. The land is open to the public and is great for walking dogs with access on to lofthouse colliery as well. Is a little stream running through one part.
The old golf club, now derelict and overgrown, but amazing for walking your dog with lots of adventures through the trees and trails
Good course. Needs a bit of work to make it a great course and 5*. Has potential to look beautiful.
Booked here for my mum's 80, birthday. Paid £500. The room was nice and surroundings. That a side the rest was a total let down the food was OK but not enough as we had catered for 70 most of the guests were still hungry. All of the food was savoury not a hint of anything sweet for the kid's or adults. The DJ was a let down too. Won't be booking anymore party's here that's for sure.
Went to a birthday celebration there the amount of food for the people attending was shameful specially when I found out how much it cost DJ wouldn't have hurt him to crack a smile outside pleasant setting my opinion is save your money and go elsewhere. Trip advisor review will be going in too if there on trip advisor that is if you do hire make sure you get a full breakdown of costs and ask for pictures of set buffet sizes
Booked a party for my wife’s 50th party August 30th 2019 and catered for 65 people ! An absolute disgrace 6 trays of sandwiches 3 of which were egg when it should have been a mix of tuna, ham, cheese and egg mayo ! 2 medium Bowles of wedges 1 basket of bread with pate 1 platter of small sausage rolls , 1 platter of Indian mix rolls and bhajis and 1 platter of chicken sate to feed 65 people ! At £5.25 per person that was a joke spoke to the lady serving and she states that’s all I’ve been left ! £100 room Hire £150 for DJ who put flashing lights on circa 9.45 as people Leaving ! Luckily people enjoyed themselves and we had a good time ! Will be writing a letter of dissatisfaction to the club accompanied with photos! Nice venue but pay the extra £50 and cater for yourself and do it right
rang up the day before and booked 2 buggies. we got there paid for food then went to play and they told us no buggies were booked in our name even though we had rang and booked. Turned out it had been written down but not on the 'correct' booking sheet. Even though our tee time was 10.50 and there were three buggies available they said someone was booked for a buggy at 11.30 so we couldn't use one. The guy behind the bar didn't try to come to a resolution, disgusting attitude, poor customer service, never visit this shambles of a club. Very amateur set-up
Wedding party We was here Saturday night its a very nice venue for all sorts of events two nice sized rooms a grassed area on the side ideal for barbecue etc the rooms where spotlessly clean so where the rest rooms good selection of beers largers and draft ciders wines and spirits at reasonable prices all staff very helpful and friendly well worth a visit
Very nice natural course with small greens requiring accuracy! Course well maintained except found the greens were too firm for my poor skill level. Fantastic view from the 8th hole!
I consulted the people here about the course and found even at the club I play at woolley people did not want to play it , OK ITS UP AND DOWN . MY TEAM MATE AND I HAD NO IDEA WHERE TO GO BUTTT IF YOUR SMART AND USE YOUR HEAD OTHER THAN THEIR AMEN CORNER IT PLAYS WELL . ON MOST HOLES A WAYWARD SHOT CAN IF YOU USE YOUR HEAD BE RECOVERABLE . FOR ME AT 62 OVERWEIGHT ITS TOUGH BUT ENJOYABLE . SO IF YOU LIKE A CHALLENGE GO AND GIVE IT A GO .
