Fun activity. Our games master - Ellen - was very entertaining. The venue is unique and they have used its peculiarities to good effect. The puzzle was suitably challenging and we all got totally immersed in solving it. Was also able to bring my dog!!  Coupled with the dog friendly bar downstairs, this made a great evening out.

We did The Cutting Room as a team of 3 and were worried we wouldn’t manage it as it’s the hardest room, but we got out with 2 minutes to spare!! The theming of the room was super fun, and the puzzles were unique & interesting. Our games master was Amy and she was really nice & encouraging, gave us the perfect amount of hints to complete the room. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience in The Cutting Room - probably the most sophisticated and challenging escape room we've ever done. Alex was a fab Games Master and really set the scene and cheered us on afterwards, even when we needed some extra time. Also a few thrilling scares I won't spoil!

We had a great time! we booked late so accidentally booked onto the hardest room with 2/3 of us never having done an escape room before. We had a great experience, the game master Alix helped us when needed and though we didn't complete the room we still definitely enjoyed it. We're convinced we needed just 15 more minutes and could have gotten it! We'll be back soon to try again for sure

We booked last minute into the Distillery room for a birthday and had a fantastic time. Aaron, the game master who met us, was friendly and polite and explained everything very well. The room itself was very immersive, well setup and with puzzles of appropriate difficulty given the Distillery was the "easy" room. The time allotted was enough that it should cater well to groups of all levels of puzzling experience.

My sister and I took my dad here for his birthday and had honestly the best time. Charlie was super helpful, welcoming and genuine. We did the Cutting Room which we managed to complete with minutes to spare. The puzzles were fun and unique! We will be back!

Our group of three novices did the cutting room which was ranked as the hardest room. We made decent progress with some hints along the way and even though we did not successfully complete the whole room, we had so much fun! Alix was our game master and she was such a joy. She gave us some helpful hints when we were consistently hitting deadends while still letting us do the legwork to solve puzzles. We would definitely come back again and highly recommend.

2 down, 2 to go! Having previously completed the Distillery which was a complete blast today we returned to Locked In to tackle the Cutting Room. Graham set the scene with the perfect mix of melodrama and humour - and yeeted us into arguably the most intricate and enjoyable escape room I've had the joy of hurting my brain with!  Hard recommend.

It would be difficult to grade each escape room individually because there's several of them, but it's a good thing given that they vary in size, difficulty level and amount of people recommended for them. The staff was helpful and polite, always asking the group if we were having a good time and keeping track of our progress so they offered us minor hints when we needed them. At the end of our run they were kind enough to give us a tour of the other rooms, which is something I have not seen other places do and this may be the main reason we go back because we do want to check out the rest of them.

Brilliant! Our Games Master Liv was absolutely fantastic, funny, witty and personable. We had such a great time playing space academy and we can’t wait to come back and play through more rooms!! It was perfect for the beginners and the more experienced members of our group. If you’re looking for an escape room experience to pick from out of all of the choices in Edinburgh then this is the one to pick.
