VV large loch I would recommend getting a boat & trawling if you want to cover the area's of the Loch where the fish ALWAYS sit. we just fished from the banking and caught not a thing. It wasn't that's good fishing from the banking for us there's PLENTY of SMALL feeding for the STOCKED fish like MINNOWS, just a PITY that the loch was too Deep and long for us X3 with x3 rod's in the water. If you love scenery then the Trip to Rothesay is WORTH it. PICTURES from the banking next to the hut .
Beautiful place. Excellent for walks. Not tried the fishing yet. Plenty wildlife.
Only really went here to watch bluebird being tested, had an amazing time , totally enthralled by the whole thing , anyway it's usually a very good fishing loch, with all the usual facilities, plenty of pictures showing some lovely fish that have been caught also some lovely walks,

Excellent fishing ,plenty of quiet,clean places,which makes relaxing so easy,don't mind if you don't catch anything,next time you might. Ps.... the pike fishing is brilliant, I think it has the record making fish in it. Good for beginners or just a walk,possible see the OSPREY I've seen it lots .
Awesome place for fishing, lot's of trouts and pikes
Brilliant days fishing caught 5 rainbows 1 at 8lbs 1 at 6lbs and remaining 3 all just over 2lbs ....plus returned another 4. Great facilities. Superb outboard engines and you can simply go for a sail around the loch if u aint into fishing by hiring a boat.
Been going to the fad for years I have not been for a couple of years and was very disappointed when 14 of us went on 3/8/19 the baillie was not there. There was a number on the door to phone him. He took the permit money then left a crowd of young lads came on the loch and boarded the boats and were racing up and down the loch crashing into one another I was talking to one of the locals and he said it no longer gets stocked its went from one of the best fishing to worst in a couple of years
