Seems to be past it's best before date. We were there early in the morning so it wasn't busy. A good thing about it is that it's dog friendly. Cafe Zest staff were lovely and paid attention to the dogs. The views from.the cafe and the Costa Coffee shop are fantastic.
Had a lovely meal in the House of Fraser right on the side of the Loch reasonably priced meal. However the gift shops were overrated and overpriced. My partner and I each paid £10 for three magnets not too bad however three normal sized postcards, like you would pick up any where else maybe 5 for £2 something like that..I do scrapbooking and picked up three nothing fancy,.as they had those two. But they went back on the rack when I saw that they were also 3 for £10 postcards really but much even for tourist spots so my scrapbook will be done without postcards of Loch Lomond. However I would say it is a lovely place to visit, things for kids too the Aquarium, Rare Bird Garden and also boat trips which were I think £16 each so compared to postcards a bargain I would say
An amazing place, great views. A lovely atmosphere and generally enjoyable. We'll definitely make a return. The skies weren't always this blue - it is Scotland after all. This is the area near the shops but the loch itself is surrounded by beautiful walks and gorgeous countryside. We were staying in Glasgow and it was well worth the train journey.
It's a beautiful place, good for children, the view of the lake and hills is beautiful. So many activities are also available for them, and if you like walking you can go for a long walk besides the shoreline.
Beautiful wee place alongside the loch Lomond, views of the water and mountains, I attend a small summer fest day with rides and music, stalls on was a lovely day. Plenty to do with a few shops and restaurants, there is also boat trips and paddle boats and Ariel tree tops. Large car park, beach area where u can walk around to the ship and a play park
It is a lovely place to visit with walks and boat rides. There are also a couple of shops and restaurants. There is also a bird of prey exhibition, although it was £9.50 per adult, which seemed a little steep my parents and I chose not to go in and we also saw a young family and another couple walk away too. There was a great little market on while we were there apparently on most Sundays during the summer. There were a lot of food stalls, but unfortunately, there was very little outdoor seating that wasn't attached to the permanent restaurants that are there all year round. This proved a bit of an issue for my disabled father as he can't walk long distances or stand for prolonged periods of time. Aside from that, I would recommend visiting.
The fact it has an anchor store like Frasers is a bonus, one suggestion, have a shop that sells cosmetics, I couldn't find a body wash, and was told the only place you'll find that was at the Co Op a good 4km away, but overall nice mall with a view.
Lots of activities besides just the shops! Kids rides, booths selling merchandise were all extra today! Lots of food choices on site that all looked really great. I chose the Jurassic themed eatery for the ambience. Food was great and eating with the dinosaurs was fun. Shops had lots of great items as well
This was part of the itinerary of a coach tour. I found the variety & number of shops disappointing, but fortunately there was a Sunday market which made up for this. I enjoyed a pleasant walk along the shore.
Lovely place to stay with family or alone and enjoy the wilderness of the nature. 101% recommended
