Great for family visit. Nice for picnic. If you have trouble with mobility its a but tricky as you have to use small boat to get to the island. Other than that, very interesting and lovely place to see.

Nice 10 mins sail out to island. Capacity of 12 passengers. Next boat 45 minutes later.  If too many for return boat, it may be possible to send a second boat out.  Not too much to see of castle remains. Plaques show how building would have looked in it's heyday. Picnic tables and non flushing loos.  Lots of midges.

Excellent little trip . An hour or two is enough on the island. Beautiful location, wonderful staff. Highly recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed the boat  trip across to the island and castle. Well kept castle ruins and grounds.

Wonderful place, full of calm. It's one of the most relaxing place I have ever been. There are also two peacock wandering in the island, one hundred percent recommended
