We stayed in the lovely cozy double en-suite room. It had everything that we needed for the night. bed was comfy, room was clean, staff were very friendly and breakfast had a great selection. I would highly recommend and i would stay here again.
We decided to have a mid week break for the girls. Mother daughter and Granny. What a fabulous break. With room up grades with balconies on the bottom floor. The staff were exceptional. Breakfast and Dinner was delicious with local produce We will most definately be back with the boys. The beautiful Deeside countryside and shops just topped the week of perfectly. Thankyou. The Swinscoes. Rooms: Comfortable and clean. Food & drinks: Exceptionally .
I loved our stay. The rooms are gorgeous as is the rest of the hotel. It was very welcoming and the staff lovely. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the rooms are not serviced, we used our coffee in our room on the first morning of our stay and clean cups and more coffee was not provided. We also had to go and take a toilet roll from the communal bathroom in the middle of the night for the same reason. We had to ask for more butter at the breakfast table 2 or 3 times every morning for the 5 of us as the little ramekin provided only buttered 2 pieces of toast at a push. These are only little nitpicking annoyances though. The food was utterly delicious and absolutely beautifully prepared. The walk to the Loch is short but lovely and you can easily get to 2 ski slopes from the hotel, it's a stunning drive. I would recommend a stay there and if I have the opportunity I will definitely stay again

We recently stayed at this lovely hotel to attend a family wedding in Aboyne. What a welcome we had... The staff and owners work hard to make your stay special, food was excellent and our room was lovely. I cannot thank you enough.. I was sad to leave after 4 days. My mum and dad stayed here for 2 night, they were up in Scotland for my wedding . I got ready in there room and even tho I wasn't a guest the staff let me take wedding pictures on there ground .. very kind of them and very helpful.. would recommend this hotel its in a nice quiet place and has walker path near by ..
Excellent food and service! My wife and I had a lovely meal here. All three courses were of the highest quality, but particular praise goes to the cured salmon starter. The food was definitely at a higher quality point than we expected from the price and so the value for money was great. Whilst not defining quality, the portions were generous and we shared our starter and dessert and were both full. Whilst in a small village, this is a place that is well worth seeking out. My car was in at a local garage for an hour or so, we decided to see if the hotel was open for a cuppa tea or coffee, it wasn’t open. This was a Friday afternoon, odd. Even after seeing someone actually in the hotel, they told us we couldn’t even use their toilet. Shame that a nice place like this which I bet could make a load of money if it was actually open didn’t even help us out.

Stayed in lodge which was spotless and had all the amenities needed for a perfect stay Had dinner twice in the hotel which was superb served by Irma who was efficient and friendly The setting of the lodge was a twitchers paradise and we were lucky with the weather sunny every day Great setting for visiting the small towns and villages in the area
