Lovely food. Great service. If we were local we'd go again for a special meal. Prices more expensive than we'd usually pay but it was a lovely venue - would be even nicer on a summers evening! Only disappointment was that I couldn't swap my mash for chips as "it's not allowed". We had amazing deserts too! Parking: Free parking with plenty of spaces Wheelchair accessibility: No issues
Awkward service, low quality food at highish prices. Lovely fit out and atmosphere I just wish they'd spent more time on quality training and food. Eg multiple times we had our food almost taken from our table while still eating. Also, we made a point of ordering our toddlers food immediately asking for it to come as early as possible, it didn't. We got our food before our toddlers. They got the order wrong and the quality and portions were poor. £7.50 for 3 tiny fried balls of macNcheese. Cold chicken tacos with barely any chicken £8.50. I understand that times are tough but this was crazy. Lasagne was tasty but probably down to it being super salty. Fish and chips were good. No check back on our table until we were about finished our meals. When i asked for the bill , they brought it and she just stood at my shoulder waiting for me to pay insisting I check the bill there and then. Super weird and awkward. I wanted to pay with cash and as I saw her hold a card machine I told her this, she just said ok and made me feel like I had to pay there and then, watching me count the notes from my wallet. I can't see me rushing back I'm afraid. Kid-friendliness: The staff must must must learn NOT to put knives, glasses, hot plates, food or anything else in front of toddlers.
Absolutely beautiful refurbishment, food delicious and staff very attentive would highly recommend.
Lovely place outside and inside. Absolutely stunning. Every staff member was lovely nothing was a problem for them. Food was amazing. Presented and tasted beutiful I can't wait to go back. I would highly recommend you try this place you will not be disappointed at all. Vegetarian options: I had mac n cheese my fav and fries it left enough room for desert food was perfect.
My family and I party of 8 had a lovely meal here tonight for our granddaughters 7th birthday. Food was absolutely delicious, service was excellent from very well mannered and helpful staff. We even took a birthday cake along which the staff brought to table after our meal much to the delight of Millie. Would highly recommend a visit. Kid-friendliness: Granddaughter loved it Parking: Ample spaces to park
Feels very much like a hotel restaurant which I guess it is as it's part of chain that own hotels. Maybe we ordered wrong. But a Wagyu burger for £17 shouldn't be coming with thin frozen fries. I would hope for homemade chips. The bun was also on the cheap side with that dry sweet taste. 5 Guys etc are setting the standards for burgers nowadays so I'm reviewing in that context. It wasn't anywhere near as good. The better half ordered a steak sandwich. The waiter was very keen to differentiate between the 2 styles of cooking... Pink or well done. Thing is, the meat was so chewy it really didn't matter. The ciabatta was rock hard too. Oh and it arrived luke warm. It was £13 which is more reasonable than my burger, but not if it's not done well, and it only comes with salad and crisps never understood the crisps thing. Just do a better salad There were a lot of really nice looking desserts at the counter. But we didn't buy any as it was a disappointing £40 lunch already. The restaurant is really well decorated. There's an outside part which will be nice for a coffee and cake in the summer. Dog friendly too. I think maybe if you're coming in the evening or with a bigger party it could be nice if you order some of the £20+ dishes. It was reasonably busy so it must be doing something right. The service was slow from waiting to get seated, to ordering our drinks and getting them. The servers themselves were all very nice and polite. But it felt corporate rather than homely c/w Who's Cafe in Paisley. The fastest part was getting our food from ordering but then that's the part we wouldn't have minded taking their time with for a better outcome.
Arrived and looked forward to menu. Greeting very poor by young man who came across as not wanting to be there, in fact during the whole evening he never returned with drinks nor put in our side order. Lack of interest and customer care was evident. Food lukewarm and very bland. Sliders were basically dry rolls with a burger, no sauce or relish added. Party of 6 and none of the mains were worth the money. We kept having to ask for drinks, update on food etc and if we didn't would probably still be there! Eventually asked after waiting an age for dessert menu and again waited a long time for them to arrive. Nothing great just ok. Asked for bill which came at great speed and we explained about not being keen to tip due to bad service - perfect time for staff to question this yet there was no questions or apologies!! Overall bad service, lukewarm food and not great quality, long waiting times, yet very expensive night for party of 6. Would not return to this newly refurbished establishment which is a shame as we have eaten at the old restaurant many times with no issues, something has gone very wrong.
Our first visit to the Boat Yard since its makeover, and we were not disappointed. From arrival to departure, the service was first class, and the food was amazing too. A highly enjoyable evening celebrating my sons and granddaughters joint birthday. The fact that there were no free tables says it all! Highly recommendedFood: 5/5
Stopped eventually to see what it's like. Busy atmosphere. Great staff and very attentive. We enjoyed the food. Great quality and presented well. Loved the Christmas decorations ons on the same white lights. This made them look classy.Food: 4/5
Food was lovely! Burger was slightly overcooked but was still very tasty! Fish and chip were nice and crispy kids' desert of 3 scoops of ice cream candy shop, haribos choc ice cream was a bit steep as very basic.. mushy peas were flavoursome.. Decor standard was above 5 stars and toilets were very clean and hygienic and very well decorated. Coffees were aromatic. Thought that staff could have been a bit more down to earth as they seemed a bit rigid to make experience more personal and welcoming etc. Overall, good experience and 100% satisfied. Thank you!
