An outstanding seafood lunch, perfect service, prompt. Incredibly helpful staff. Really delicious food. We also had 6 Oysters and fish soup to start. We chanced upon a discounted meal offer upon arrival which was a bonus! We love the food at Loch Fyne restaurants. It was my first visit to this one, we will revisit soon....
Food was absolutely delicious! Haggis scotch egg was yummy, fish and chips was perfect - batter was so light, crispy and very tasty! The fish was amazing. Chocolate fondant was gooey and chocolatey- spot on!
Food and service were great. I had the poached hake which was beautiful. Fresh pieces of garlic, spinach and a beautiful sauce.
Second time I enjoy this restaurant, very good seafood, reasonable price, cozy atmosphere, our waiter Guglielmo was rally nice , will come back soon
Lovely food and great service!
We had our wedding dinner here, the food was scrumptious, our waitress Anna was so patient and conscientious about getting our orders right. The food was so delicious, the King Prawn starter is the best! We even got a lovely card from the staff. Just brilliant folk. Will be back
So disappointing, we stopped for a quick family lunch on our way back to London. The decor is nice and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food however is awful, I had a very average prawn cocktail followed but an unedable fish pie. I couldn’t find any lumps of fish, just a grey mush with 2 prawns - totally flavourless. The vegetables were overcooked and mushy. We also ordered some kale which was browning at the edges. My older children ordered the seafood pasta which again was very poor. The pasta was stuck together in a big lump with a few pieces of tasteless calamari / prawns / mussels. I am not sure how this standard of food survives in this day and age, but the place was busy and the staff did take the fish pie off the bill at the end without question. My first and definitely last visit to the Loch Fyne chain.
Fabulous food and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. King Prawn starter was indeed fantastic.
The food was quite nice but was ridiculously overpriced for what you get. Service ok but was the slowest we've encountered for a very long time & the restaurant was only a third full They are really going to have to up their game if they want to stay in business. There are many competitors out there that provide a much better experience. Suggestions: hire a few more staff and research what other restaurants are charging. If you want to keep those prices, you need to improve the seating, service and general décor. Oh, and mend the locks on the toilets. We will not be back.
The saying "you get what you pay for" is true at Loch Fyne. The prices are on the high side and worth every penny. The food was excellent, I would suggest if you like fish make sure you check the website for specials as Lobster was on the menu when we visited. The kids portions are generous and amazingly good quality. The deserts are the the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Just some things to note. 1. Make sure you make a reservation it gets busy. 2. Have plenty of time as the food does take a while to arrive. 3. If you would like to have a calm meal go at lunch time. I would say this currently one of my favourite meals and can not stop recommending it.
