We visited the Loch Fyne on Mothers Day, we had our table booked for 12.30. We were seen to our table quickly and given the menus from the friendly servers. Drink orders were taken quickly and we were served pretty much straight away. Our starters were amazing, and arrived within 15 mins of ordering. With the restaurant completely full, we were expecting to wait a lot longer. The starter of Scallops and Haggis with the balsamic pears were delicious. We sat at the table enjoying conversation and every-time we finished a drink, we were asked if we wanted another. We expected the food to take a long time to come out, with it being Mothers Day and the restaurant being fully booked, but within the hour we had our mains. The lemon sole was cooked beautifully, the only issue we had was an over cooked steak, but this was resolved within 5 minutes with a brand new plate. Unfortunately there were a few tables that weren't conversing with each other and expected their food to come out sooner. It did make us feel bad for the staff members, as they could not do enough to help us. Thank you to the staff members for making the Mothers Day amazing for us! The food was incredible.
There were 14 of us and we all had a lovely lunch. Service was attentive and the food was good. I particularly enjoyed the mixed fish grill. The rhubarb crumble was tasty as well. The children enjoyed their choices of mussels and a chicken wrap. We had a variety of drinks and two courses and it was very reasonably priced about £30 per head only about £12 for the each child.
It's amazing how fast and far brands can fall. Tonight was a very poor experience from the start. The quality of the food was below average, multiple wait staff, over an hour for main course, ran out of 2 of the four main courses selected on a set menu. This brand was excellent but the people running it from the top have lost their focus. Avoid.
Just visited Loch Fyne in Beaconsfield, party of five celebrating my son's birthday. Booked via website for 1:30pm on Sunday. Arrived and the place was virtually empty, maybe 4 or 5 tables occupied. Waited 5 minutes before anyone greeted us, even though there were a few staff around. Told the hostess I'd already booked, but her English was very poor and she ushered us in, though we couldn't understand what she was saying. We had a pick of tables and sat down. Then we waited....and waited. It looked like there were only two staff waiting the tables and although it wasn't busy, we waited a good 15 minutes before one of them came to ask if we wanted drinks. By that time we were ready to order our food at the same time. Drinks took ages to arrive, as did the starters. From that point on things seemed to speed up a bit, but the two waiters seemed stretched, even though only 6 tables were occupied. When I made the booking I made a special request for a candle in my son't dessert. This was completely overlooked, probably because the front of house didn't even look for our booking when we arrived! Food was great though...only let-down by the appallingly slow service.
I was really looking forward to going to Loch fyne last night. The day before both myself and my partner called the resturant countless of times but no answer so we just showed up. When we got there it took a good 10 minutes for someone to come and ask if we wanted a table. There was just two people on the floor serving and service took forever. Because the menu did not state what seeds were on my bun and the server didn't know any better when my burger came I couldn't eat it as it was covered in sesame seeds and I'm allergic. Overall a very disappointing night.
Very good set menu. 2 courses for £12.95 [on Sundays too]. Great location, as Beaconsfield is a lovely area. Our waiter Jack was most kind, accommodating and very personable. As he's a student he won't be there after October, but trust any staff employed to replace him will be as friendly and helpful. If you like fish then this is a great place to eat. Will definitely recommend to friends and hopefully will visit there again.
My mother was made to feel very special on her 90th birthday. We were a table of 20 and received excellent service with superb food. My mother is in a wheelchair and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Well done Loch Fyne, Beaconsfield.
Went on 5th Jan 2013 to celebrate my daughters birthday. ordered Haddock and Chips for myself as previous visits has been a really good dish. Loved the homemade chips and the batter was really light, unfortunately this time the batter was really oily and heavy, the mushy peas looks as if it has been reheated several times and the tartare sauce lacked flavor. unsure about revisiting again... =
Excellent staff Mirek and Tatiane genuinely friendly, very helpful and great customer experience. Lovely decor and ambience. And yes there is a good selection of fish and a meat menu. Food was very enjoyable and well presented. Mussels, Prawns, seafood tagliatelle and kippers for main and a nice dessert menu. Thank you my Mother had a lovely Birthday Lunch. :
WHY VISIT? This is my first Google review of a place I think; normally I forget or can't be bothered but feel compelled this time! I'd been thinking for a while about visiting the Beaconsfield branch for the first time but have to admit that, until last night, I'd been dissuaded by the negative reviews on here. I was, however, delighted by my experience... SERVICE: The staff were warm and welcoming, very knowledgable about the menu and food sourcing and perfectly attentive. FOOD: Our mains two different bream dishes were delicious and perfectly cooked. I'd think we'd both have liked a larger serving of greens green beans/samphire with our bream, otherwise it was well balanced and I felt the portions were perfect. I'd like to see wild & MSc prawns, bream etc on the menu instead of farmed fish. SETTING: I found the decor and fitting stylish, warm and attractive without being distracting. It's a capacious place which I guess would make it a fairly safe bet for group bookings without needing lots of notice. VALUE: Overall, the experience felt like great value, particularly with 10% off with the friends of Loch Fyne card. Thank you to the Beaconsfield team for making my first visit so enjoyable all round. I'm confident I'll be returning with friends and family very soon. Thanks to the social media team for convincing me to try the place for myself, I'm very glad I did.
