Nice restaurant with pleasant staff, wheelchair accessible, clean restrooms and on site parking. Meal and starter came quickly and the food was hot, our waiter Steve was attentive and friendly and fulfilled all our requests for a few extras. We enjoyed our meal and will dine there again..
For many years we have been coming to this restaurant as we have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the nice food, as a pricey restaurant the food did live up to the price tag. However, we had not frequented the restaurant for the last 3 months and when we came back today the quality had gone steeply downhill. My main was served with stale bread, shocking for the price of the dish: my son had the fish and chips and the fish was old, mushy, watery and had soft grey and black bits throughout. We will definitely not be coming back
we did not have a great experience at all yesterday.super slow service,we booked the table at half7 and got the dinner by half9 !! 2 hours and it wasn’t that busy night ! When the main meal finally served , king prawns came out pretty dry , probably well over cooked ! This is our third visit to this restaurant and will never go back again , last visit was last Christmas and it looks like it went down hill big time. Given the over priced menu , you would expect faster and better service ! Both waiters knew we weren’t satisfied with our meal and the long time it took to get our food, yet they didn’t bother to make any comments or offer any compensation towards the bill ! Sadly we will have to look for another local seafood restaurant.
I had the two-course set lunch with a glass of house white, which was a lovely meal at a reasonable price under £15. My companions both chose from the main menu and thought their dishes were outstanding! The service was friendly and impeccable too.
Absolutely brilliant meal on a Friday evening in mid-April. Two of us enjoyed a romantic 3-course meal with excellent food throughout starter, main and dessert plus a very good bottle of wine. Service was good, too; friendly and attentive. I really recommend this restaurant and am surprised by how negative some of the recent reviews are.
The food is delicious, we did the set course lunch 12-6pm fish soup & scotch egg superb as starters then mussels for the main! Quality, price, service and atmosphere all top notch. If you like beer, try Jarl - Fyne Ales, their own beer. Crisp, clean and very drinkable.
Went for dinner with 6 other friends. The restaurant was medium busy. We were welcomed and staff were friendly. They took us to our table and handed in the drinks and food menus. From there we hardly saw them again, we had to go straight to them to order. The food quality was very poor. Out of 7 dishes the only one I could recommend are their mussels. Lobster was dried and tasteless. It is a lovely place but they need to work on their food and have more staff that check on your table every now and then.
Been three times.. Have gotten food poisoning twice. Food is of low quality , especially the mussels. Also found blue plastic in the seafood tagliatelle which means the food comes prepackaged in most cases. The waitress gave us a discount on the meal. The decor is nice and the staff is friendly. Would not recommended.
Excellent meal with 3 friends. I choose the salmon fillet this was delicious, succulent oozing with flavours literally melting on the palette. Service impeccable. A visit is highly recommended.
If you want something Very Special about fresh fish, just go there! You will have more than you aspect! Very big portions, I couldn't finish all my order, but they put rest in a container to bring at home. Dennis and Sahid are so Professional and in the meantime so Kind and Friendly. We will definitely go there again!
