Good walk around. Or cycle. Plenty of different routes to take. Last time we went we did the 2 lake trail. Free parking areas dotted around the lake. Pay and display by the main visitor area. Toilets and cafe on site.
Visited in August 2019, when I had my holiday in Wales. I was already tired from going every day to see attractions, so I wanted to have a half day with a lazy walk only. Hence I drove to this lake and walked a little bit. It wasn't too busy, but true that the weather was windy enough. The parking meter didn't work, so I had to go further to find another one. They have quite fair size car parks and the way goes there is very scenic - just like whole Wales. I have seen there is cafe/toilets/ice-cream at the visitor centre, as well as boats and bicycle hiring. It is definitely a good place to fishing and have some outdoor exercise. Due to the strong wind I just spent an hour or so have some fresh air, enjoyed the view then headed back to the cottage.

Absolutely incredible, we could not get over the beauty and we're treated to some incredible views. The time we spent there was so happy. We saw lots of people fishing, lots of cycling and walking, there were paddle boarding lessons taking place, so much going on if you're looking for activity but we were looking for escape and went to the other side of the lake and didn't see anyone for hours sometimes. There are so many beautiful sheep and cows too.
Absolutely love this place. So many stunning walks. It's a wonderful place to spend time as a family. Gorgeous park for the children. Large cafe area. Great for bikes, scooters and you can hire boats.

The cafe provided nice coffee and cakes and the service was friendly and faultless, shame about getting intruded on to fill in a questionnaire which was 75% daft time wasting questions whilst we tried to have a peaceful moment. On our next visit used the coffee machine outside the centre which proved to be overpriced and underwhelming. A thermos flask will titillate you far more deeply. The walk around the lake or lakes - 5 star! Plenty of picnic benches and defibrillators which is always reassuring.
Excellent bolt hole for fishing, swimming and cycling not necessarily all at once of course!. A wonderful venue for a day out good or bad weather. I highly recommend if you're in the area.
Great 10 mile walk around the lake, Bike hire available or take your own. Fishing too. Parking is £2 for the whole day. Visitor centre has a cafe etc for a drink or rest break. As you walk / bike around there are some fantastic views of the area.
Love Brenig great place to take grandchildren on a walk , nice cafe, and kids love the park.
