This pharmacy is a disgrace. They never have your full prescription and the staff are rude. Very rude. You work in a shop, you do not own it. Yes I will also be contacting head office to discuss your employees disgusting customer service. About time something was done about this.
My granda passed away recently and the staff here were nothing but amazing, when we returned his medication they didn’t even ask what had happened I’m guessing the doctors had informed them they just came and took the medication from us, they have always been spot on before he passed aswell one time a staff member even walked up to there other branch on the front street to get what we needed for my granda
Overall a good pharmacy. Until 3 weeks ago I would have given it 5 stars. I was spoken to rudely and as if I was thick by a pharmacist and I won’t be back. What this pharmacist didn’t know was that I am trained in pharmacy myself and knew about ordering my medication and how it is ordered and procured. However they ordered me the incorrect item and fulfilled the incorrect item not checking what I had had previously on the system or checking the prescription with the GP i specifically rang about one thing and was prepared the entirely wrong thing which resulted in me having to wait an extra week and having a break in my steroid treatment and could have resulted in a longer flare up and another hospital visit. I was spoken to as if I was in the wrong when actually it was themselves and the GP that was wrong. I had all the information that I was right and they were not happy. Because of this I will not use this pharmacy again. I had moved here from boots as I had heard good things. Now I know they are taking over boots aswell it makes me sad that people in bedlington don’t have choice of who they get medication from. I have now moved to one in Stakeford. Up until this incident I did actually like the pharmacy.
Lovely, Friendly staff! They really helped when I had questions about my medication. Would highly recommend.
Great team at Bedlington pharmacy, staff are knowledgable and friendly.
The staff are always polite. The challenge is the wait time. Even if I order my prescription a week in advance, it is never ready. I generally have to sit and wait for 20 to 30 minutes, or come back later. It is very frustrating as they advise to wait 3 working days, but even if you double it, they are not ready. Shame
I joined because they advertise delivery. They wanted to charge me £6 when a taxi would cost £5 for the same journey! I have regular monthly prescriptions am elderly and it takes them over a week yo dispense electronically sent prescriptions! Avoid them they couldn’t care less and should be struck off.
I left the chemist after realizing the long cue was not going down and only one member of staff was attending. I can’t stand for very long due to a hip condition and all the seats were taken. There was no air con on a really hot day in a small space. I waited outside while the queue inside got bigger and the service slower. Everyone who left was complaining, from the elderly man who was picking up a prescription that was ordered last week and who had to wait 40 minutes while they made it up, to the lady who was promised the day before that her prescription would be ready at 9.00am……she still had to wait while they made it up! I eventually went back in after half an hour but still had to join a long queue. I was then told my prescription had not been made up and would not be ready for another 15 minutes. I pointed out I had already waited over half an hour to be told ‘it’s Bank Holiday…we’re very busy. It’s always busy on Bank Holiday’. The obvious response to this is if you know that why don’t you employ more staff?
This pharmacy is an absolute disgrace. Rather than go and add to the already long slow moving queue of ovef 15/20 inhave a sick child I contacted the pharmacy to see if the prescription was there, because it should’ve been there since friday the lady said I’ll go and check after 20 minutes waiting on the phone. The phone line went dead.. I then called back to get an automated service saying the pharmacy was busy. Try later. However, when you try later, the same thing happens again.. When prescriptions come through from the GP, they should automatically put them up and have them ready to go, it would save a lot of time and sick people hanging about. The pharmacy is slow and disorganised. It’s a tossup between lloyds and boots, as To which one is the worst. The biggest laugh is that Nhs is telling people go to a pharmacy for advice and help. If you’re unwell. If I can’t cope with the current situation with medication, could you imagine of more people went there is a first resort when ill, very lucky to get to speak to someone the same day.
My mother’s blood pressure medication has been ordered last Thursday. She went to pick it up yesterday - it wasn’t ready. Today at 13.40 they told to pick it up at 15.00 hours. My mother is 74 yo. Unacceptable! Switched to Boots pharmacy.
