Beautiful park with big open spaces and a moat, with ducks and sometimes you can spot a few terrapins. Has a playground for children and a little skateboard area with ramps. Playground: Has a playground for children with swings, sand area, climbing frames too. Dog-friendliness: Lots of dog walkers here and a small area designated to when you want to take them off the leash. Picnic area: Not a specific area but lots of people bring blankets and have a picnic on the large grassy areas.
Willie Morris gallery in Lloyd Park has the history of William Morris. The park is dog friendly and family friendly with places for a picnic swings for children to play on a little café where you can get variety of foods to eat.
A larger park than it seemed at first, with wide, open spaces and a shop in the middle. The Morris gallery is situated on one end of it, with a well cared for garden. Kids can enjoy a skate park or the fair rides.
Lovely place to spend a day. Great park for all ages with a skate park, a decent children play area, pretty green areas, two cafes, and toilets. William Morris gallery onsite. Lovely little market stalls on selected days. It's definitely worth a visit. It is easily accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Small carpark onsite. Playground: Area for toddlers, area for juniors, skate park. Picnic area: Pretty picnic area behind the William Morris Gallery with limited park benches throughout all green areas.
The park is great in terms of entertainment in it, there is a lot to do, but it is VERY DIRTY! THROUGHOUT! Garbage is everywhere, in the ponds where the ducks live, in the sandbox for children, everywhere. And cafes and toilets are simply disgusting. Playground: There is a lot of garbage, and the sandbox is very dirty, it should be cleaned a long time ago. Restrooms: The toilets are terrible, dirty, smelly and always without toilet paper. Picnic area: The park is dirty, there is a lot of garbage, there is a lot of garbage in the reservoirs, and poor ducks and birds live there.
We visited lloyds park today and went to the Amusement world funfair and splash pool. Such a lovely day and the staff at funfair are fantastic, they are friendly, funny and join in with the kids having fun, catering staff are also amaxing. We love this funfair and attend every year, such a wonderful family run fair with a great atmosphere. Funfair runs to 14th August, it's worth a visit and first hour all rides are 1 token each, great deal. Opens at 12pm. The actual park is also fantastic, lots to do and plenty of space for all activities, picnics and fun. Skate park, basketball court, outdoor gym and table tennis tables. There is toilets open in cafe hours and the cafe although abit pricey the food is very nice, with great coffee. Water fountain available, just bring own bottle or cups. Playground: Great play area suitable for upto 12 I'd say but plenty of space for football, basketball ball, skating, table tennis Restrooms: Toilets available buy cafe, usually well maintained, closes at 5pm, which is a shame in summer as can stay in park for the nice evening sun. Dog-friendliness: Dogs aloud in park, outside cafe area and water boxes available. Not sure about in the park but enough area around to walk with dog and still see the children Picnic area: Picnic tables available around park and lots of grass areas
The reason why I like Lloyds park is because it's so big and we like going to the shop back there to buy duck bird and squirrel food to feed them, and me and my dad bought my dog there once! I love this park! 5 stars
Scooting around the park with my nephew who is 5 and using the family-friendly skate park was fantastic. Lovely formal garden area too. The playground isn't bad and it is getting refurbished - we used it less as it had rained and the big slide was muddy and wet. Besides, the scooter was the big draw! Lots of space to ride it.
Nice time spending with my little ones there...the park is beautiful and clean. Playground: It s safe, there are the big slides as well... Picnic area: It s a lot of space where you can picnic
Great place to bring the kids! There are nice areas to walk the dogs, excellent sandpit for young toddlers, a play area to young children, a nice café with the basics, but we always go there for the great vibe from the skate park - there are always children skating and the adults skaters are always respectful and receptive to the kids learning.
