Lovely people. Always friendly and willing to help. Will go out of their way to find the books you are interested in. The variety of books is good and due to the fact that any book within the Powys area can be requested there is access to a lot more books than it may first appear. I have found it to be a rare occasion for them not to have the book i am interested in. The library also provides a host of other services such photocopying, scanning, internet access, DVD rental as well as certain council service such as the paying of bills and buying binbags. During the summer they also encourage younger readers with stickers and a map for a certain amount of books read although I'm a little unclear on the details. Llanfyllin library also does many other things too numerous to list here and is a important and valued part of the local community. The ladies who run it have created a warm and kind atmosphere which when combined with everything else easily makes this the best library in the county. 2022 Update Still brilliant with the added bonus that you can borrow ebooks by downloading an app - borrowbox I think - and access the delights of the library without having to leave your home.
Lovely library, great staff, always helpful and professional and friendly. Highly recommend regular visits!
