Lovely site. The site was well-maintained and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The toilets & showers were spotless. It’s a two minute walk to the beach, there was some nice coastal paths to walk along & only a 20 minute walk into the village where there are bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend. It was very good value for money. Well done, everyone keep up the good work!
Donna the owner of the campsite came to greet us upon arrival, and was so nice and friendly.nThe campsite has gorgeous surroundings and is testament to all the hard work put into keeping it that way.nThere's three lovely showers all spotless clean and great toilet facilities.nThere quite a few electric hookup points and we saw everything from small campers to mid sized ones on the grass pitches.nThe real gem of this site is the 2min walk to a lovely long sandy beach, great for paddleboarding. Also within walking distance is a microbrewery, Alidi, Tesco, Morrisons and a KFC.nEveryone on the campsite would let on or stop for a quick chat, so you can tell the type of people who must come back year on year in
What a find. It is a fabulous little site. Almost afraid to post as we might never get back in! We are staying a week at this delightful site and will definitely staying again. It has all the facilities you need, showers, toilet, elsan, washup area and recycling. All kept spotlessly clean. There is mixture of level grass and handstanding pitches and electric and non electric. Donna is a marvel and so welcoming. It was as if we were old friends and it was only our first time here. The beach is an easy walk away either through the main gate or the private cut through at the bottom of the site, and takes less than five minutes to get there. The beach is quiet but beautiful, an ideal bay for paddle boards or canoeing. The tide goes out a long way but it is sand all the way to the waters edge. The major shops are walkable or a two minute drive. It is an ideal stop before getting the ferry, which means there can be a lot of early morning movement, but it didn't detract from the idillic setting of the site. Donna keeps it lovely, we felt like we were on the continent. The dogs loved it too.
Just what we needed for a last-minute trip to the Holy Island! Super reasonably priced and flexible - we planned to stay for one night and move on but liked it so much we stayed longer and the owner was happy checking in with us each morning and taking payment then. We had a small tent and a car and there was plenty of room, even when the site filled up with more tents and vans. There are only few showers and toilets but I never had to wait and the showers are lovely and hot - perfect for warming up after a dip in the sea. There's a beach just over the road, and Holyhead town centre is a short walk away, as well as the Coastal Path. The rest of the Island is easily accessible by car so it's a great base to explore from. Highly recommend it for no-fuss camping :
Great site.Great location. Pretty, and a pleasure to stay. Facilities are top draw. Quiet and friendly, we stayed 4 nights on ehu, used the hot showers, no timers or drop in pressure when all 3 are used. Very close access to the beach, only a stones throw away from a retail park no noise, 2 mins away from the port and Holyhead , 10 away from Treaddur Bay. Perfect for us. No issues what so ever. Donna the owner is welcoming, friendly and relaxed. Will be staying again.
