Llancaiach Fawr Manor
"When visitors walk through the door of Llancaiach Fawr Manor they step back in time to the middle of the Civil War. Guests are greeted by the servants of Colonel Prichard who are delighted to show them around and chat about their day to day lives and those of the Master and Mistress. These interactive and immersive tours of the Manor House, given by the servants who are dressed in the costume of the period and speak the old fashioned language take approximately 90 mins. Housed in the Visitor Centre is an exhibition detailing the 4000 years of occupation on this site, a boutique gift shop, restaurant, cafe - serving hot food and snacks, along with function rooms suitable for conferences and weddings."

Very much enjoyed our visit. The staff acting as if from the 17th century and sharing out nibbles of that time was excellent. Would recommend anyone to go and visit.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Me and our family of four did a guided tour, it's was amazing the servants never broke out of creator and the rooms are full of details. It's took 90 minutes and we were able to absorb the time period and be transported back to 1645 or so... would definitely recommend it! So many interesting facts !
The greatest attraction in South Wales in my opinion. The visit was delightful, and the guy doing it was amazing! He knew so much about what he was showing us, and many curiosities from around the world! I highly recommend it to anyone that has the chance to see it.
Popped in to book a tour for next month. I did not realise that the museum and gardens were free to visit! Had an absolutely lovely time looking at all the exhibits in the museum. Everything was well presented and the information was really interesting without being dry. The gardens are lovely. Check out the herb garden and the apple orchard. I loved discovering the medlar tree! Looking forward to coming back and seeing the manor properly. 5*
A great afternoon out, sampling 17th century food. Very informative and friendly staff. We even got to pick apples from the orchard.
I cannot rate the Manor highly enough. The staff are so welcoming and helpful and the tour guides are amazing. They stay in character throughout and are so knowledgeable and make it interactive and so much fun. Loved every minute. The cafe is highly recommended too. Thank you for a fabulous day.
Had our wedding photos done in the fantastic grounds, really made our day special. Staff were amazing.
Interesting and entertaining. All the guides on the tour of the house are in character and remain in character throughout. They all told the stories of the rooms and the people in an engaging way, answered all the questions asked and allowed people to touch items and be involved in the experience. The tour was formulated so you could join at any point and then continue until you had seen all the areas of the house so there was no need to wait for a tour to start. A thoroughly excellent way to spend a couple of hours.
What a wonderful experience - EVERYONE should visit here - make it a whole day out ! The location is wonderful and local walks available, the cafe is really good offering home made food at realistic prices - the staff are pleasant and helpful. The historic tour is unforgettable and a must for all ages, the interactive aspect makes for a fun time with the "servants" who show tremendous knowledge of the period and are wonderfully entertaining. This is hard to beat for a really amazing activity and very well priced too. FIVE STARS *****
