The campsite is basic but none the worse for it. It is compact and fenced well enough that kids can run about without you worrying where they are, they'll always be in view. The site is right next to the road into Upton on Severn but traffic noise isn't an issue at night.nThere is a simple toilet block with a cold tap on a small sink. You won't really be able to wash here here so bring something to heat water and a bowl to wash back at your tent.nThere's plenty of cold drinkable water taps and electrical hook ups on site which is great.nThe site is perhaps five minutes walk into Upton on Severn which has plenty to offer in terms of eating, drinking, independent shops and walks.nGreat location, good, simple, campsite and easy to get to from the motorway.nI'd stay there again purely on location.
I wanted to do a group booking with a couple of friends over two days. As we are all young, there are not many campsites that will even consider allowing a booking but the staff here were friendly and managed to sort us out. Talking of which, they were pretty quick to respond and I had no trouble sorting things out with them. The two people that I met face to face were very friendly too and asked how we were getting on when they came past.nnThe campsite is made of a smaller and larger field, we were staying at the front of the larger field where the festivals are held sometimes and so there is plenty of space. The facilities are quite basic but get the job done, it was the semi-permanent toilet block type of thing that you get at festivals, a step above a portaloo. Other reviewers were concerned about the cleanliness, but I actually caught them cleaning the toilet block in the morning. There's running water and electrical hookups too which is great.nnThe campsite itself is very close to the town centre and just a couple of minutes walk and the town is great for shops and places to eat out.nnIt worked out £20/tent/night for our group which is the standard rate at the time of my review, but we were told that we may be able to get a discount as we were booking in a group.
Disgusting.No grey waste disposal. Chemical toilet disposal had to lift to chest height and pour at arms length into an upturned traffic cone used as a funnel. Rubbish dumped at side of toilets in fenced area open to rats.people washing up under the freshwater water tap as no facilities. The two toilets

Really convenient for the town. Communication very good and staff friendly.nSite is next to the road, safe, flat, basic but I did find the noise of the road traffic affected my sleep.
