Great place to explore but a lot of dog poo. Paths are quite rough so would recommend suitable footwear. Wonderful views over Belfast. Well worth a visit. Not suitable for prams and wheelchairs and for a national trust place there are no toilet facilities
Place ok to visit. There is a picnic table but not barbecue table. A lit bit of mud but nice threes.
An interesting Rath with nice views from the path on the route to it if you walk up from Cregagh Glen. Access to the Rath is from the small carpark nearby or via a rough path that climbs uphill from Cregagh Glen. Acess onto the rath itself is via some muddy worn paths or along a path which is partially covered in wooden boards. Please be very careful on the wooden boards because they are dreadfully slippery in parts when damp. There is one seat and and Information board nearby on the latter route. There are no other facilities. Sadly there was litter in the car park, on the path and in the Rath. We removed what we could. Overall this is somewhere to visit if you are passing nearby.
Lovely hill walk, very open so views are fantastic
This is the one of few places i never get tired of visiting.
A hidden gem, great views over Belfast, dog loves it!! Just don't tell too many people...as it's still nice and quiet
Always a great local Eden, polite walkers and beautiful scenery
A wonderful hidden gem in the Castlereagh Hills that has only been improved in recent years for accessibility. Beautiful views and the 'Fairy Fort' or Raith at the top is a genuinely beautiful place.
Small car park no where near the entrance. Very muddy from car park. Short walk to small wood with lots of paths. Obviously popular with dog walkers who can't be bothered with picking up after them.
Beautiful spot. First time there. If you are not aware it's a forest walk so leaves every where on the ground so be careful. Steep enough initially if you are not used to walking but worth it. No tea or coffee spots on route.
