First and last time! Got the drinks wrong one of two. Ordered new potatoes but got chips then I was told they had none after meal was served. But they were available 30 min. later to another table? The food we had was good .
Fabulous little pub run by an amazing family, Sunday dinner is always excellent anything that you ask for is no trouble absolutely a little gem

Anybody staying in the welshpool area would be advised to visit Lion hotel if looking for good food. Visited last Saturday for meal with friends and wasn't dissapointed had a great meal the food was gorgeous and plentiful service was good and freindly staff were eager to please. It wasn't expensive either. Good local pubs like this should be applauded
Visited here on a sunday, looking for a place which doesnt just do sunday roasts like a lot of places. I ordered a starter and a main, service was courteous and prompt. Food came out very quickly. I opted for a special that day that was recommended, braised beef in red wine sauce. It was rich and tasty. Highly recommend visiting.
