For anybody interested in golf history this nine hole course is a gem . You feel the need to wear plus fours and have half a dozen hickory shafted clubs in a tiny bag strapped over your shoulder . It’s got St. Andrews style shared fairways , hedge rows snaking across the fairway , no bunkers ? Gorse and heather everywhere , it is in a time warp but for good reasons . It even has a tee shot over a Victorian tin mine site ! I know the local members would like to keep this course under wraps and maybe it’s better that way . But I tell you what , If American tourists knew about this course , they would part with big money to play it . Pay and play is limited but you can book a time off peak in the week . It’s a must
Be nice in March-Sept. Very muddy golf course this time of year Dec and 3 temporary greens but a lovely club with nice people running the bar. Several holes crisscross each other. The best hole is the 2nd imo with a daunting tee shot. Would suit a quick 9 player.
Titsey 10k trail run was well organised. Very impressed with the t-shirt and medal. Very popular event.
Limpsfield Chart is a decent little 9 hole course with some nice holes, with my favourite being the 9th dogleg left with a well protected green. It isn't the longest if you're decent with the driver as most will only require a wedge or 9 iron to the green but will reward accuracy of the tee. Friendly staff in the clubhouse
Very welcoming club. Bernie in the shop went above and beyond to try and squeeze me in as a non-member on the nicest day of the year so far! Very nice club, challenging course with a good variation of holes and fast but well maintained greens. Would definitely return. Curtis
took a client/friend/keen golfer to Limpsfield for 9 holes today. He plays of 9, first time he has ever played it despite driving past it for years and he was blown away. Not by the wind but by how good the course was, the greens are amazing and the layout was in his words "like one of the great English woodland courses" - that's because it is - friendly members and great food after - highly recommend - Brian
An interesting and challenging 9 holes, however I felt that they are fundamentally to close together and some cross one another in opposite directions making them a trifle dangerous. Also too many cars and dog walkers crossing fairways for my liking.
Traditional 9 hole members course. Lots of carries over heather or bracken. Quite a few tricky holes. Greens excellent. Easy walking, but quite a few road crossings including the A25. Would visit again. Compares favourably with local rival Reigate Heath.
What lovely people. Made to feel so welcome. Even been going back for lessons with Sharon & Pet. Lovely quaint club house.
Really nice 9 hole, enough to keep you interested as you go around.
