We arrived for the weekend from Dublin. We we're met at the reception by Antonio who was very happy and a pleasure to deal with while we we're checking in. He made checking in very easy and straight forward and having our room ready before check in time which was very helpful for us. The room was very big and had everything we needed and most importantly the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the leisure facilities which were amazing. Highly recommend the hotel and all the staff we met along the way during our stay we're so nice and made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you Antonio and all the staff at The Strand Hotel.
Rating: 3/5nReview for: Strand Hotel LimericknnThe hotel is in a great location and has a very presentable lobby. Staff are polite, helpful, and really make an effort, which I appreciated. However, the overall experience was not up to 4-star standards.nnThe room 303 was outdated and showed visible signs of wear and tear. Cleanliness was acceptable but not what you would expect from a 4-star hotel. The bathroom was basic, and the shower water pressure was so poor it was essentially unusable. Very disappointing.nnBreakfast was also below expectations — limited selection, no eggs other than scrambled, no hash browns, and you have to ask for butter, which arrived after a 5-minute wait as a single piece on a plate. Not worth paying extra for.nnThe swimming pool and steam room are clearly dated and in need of renovation. The steam room felt like something out of the ’90s — which also seems to be when the promotional photos were taken.nnOverall, not a bad stay thanks to the great staff and location, but this is definitely not a 4-star experience. Would rate it as a solid 3-star hotel
The Strand Hotel is an excellent choice when visiting Limerick. It offers high-quality services and comfortable accommodation, just a 5-minute walk from the city centre. The on-site restaurant features an international menu and boasts stunning views of the River Shannon.
A fantastic spot in Limerick by which we could walk to most sightseeing spots. Luxurious room, beautiful view of the River Shannon and the city. I also love a big lobby, enjoyed sitting on the terrace of the restaurant to journal and soak in some sun!
Equipment shower a bit older, but functional. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful.nA bit disappointed with the staff at River Bar&Restaurant. A quarter of an hour at the table without a drink, 29 minutes waiting for food dinner, I would like to be a little more interested in the customers.... Breakfast buffet, great and the morning shift of the restaurant absolutely cool and helpful.
