I have been living in Newmarket for one year. recently I was trying to have a Indian food, I was told by my work mate I should try Lime Indian takeaway @ valley way. I used them last few days ago and I must say the food is extremely tasty and full of flavours' also I recommends others curry lovers they should give them a try you would be amazed. I must say I was missing the freshness of Indian food in the Newmarket town.
Parking: Ample parking available on the main road, takeaway is based in residential area. Food/Drinks: Great selection of authentic Indian food. I was pleasantly surprised by the tasty sheekh kebab and delicious succulent chicken tikka. Establishment serves a range of canned drinks. Service: Service was great, as expected for a family run business. Final thoughts: Would I come here again? Without doubt, I will be ordering again for all my Indian food needs.
This is the worst "Indian" take away I have EVER experienced in my life, and I cannot count how many I have frequented over the years. I ordered "chicken mango delight" which contained no mangoes and no almonds, And 2 of the tiniest pieces of chicken you had ever seen. It was essentially a sloppy bowl of of sweet but otherwise flavourless very runny semolina with a hint of food colouring and nothing else. Any person from Asia would be utterly ashamed of this being misrepresented as a dish from that continent, Which is of course widely regarded as being one of the most adventurous and tasty for food. In stark contrast to the culinary wonders of asia, This was very much anglicised slop that doesn't warrant being on any menu, For any person regardless of where they are from. I find it an insult to anyone to serve up something that is not fit for human consumption, and that has had no care taken at all in it's preparation or presentation. Please see attached photos to reference said slop.
Newmarket has a lot of choice when it comes to Indian cuisine, but Lime is my go-to. I order it to be delivered and it always arrives hot, fresh, and delicious. Yummy!
Good tasty food, big portions and loads of chicken, and it was hot heat not spice Had Chicken Tikka Bhuna, Onion Bhajis and rice. However, order via Just Eat as it’s cheaper! Also ordered for collection at 8:30, arrived at 8:15 and food was ready, on the plus side it was nice it was ready, on the other hand if I arrived on time it would’ve been sat there going cold. I think ordering when they’re not busy I ordered in a Wednesday they’ve got a bit more time. Vegetarian options: Not sure as not a veggie Parking: Lots
This place has gone downhill nowhere near as nice and good quality as it used to be! Very greasy everything swimming in oil, onion bhajis taste frozen cold in the middle. The second bad food order from them will not return
Food is amazing but what is better is the service. They go above and beyond and truthfully I go back time and time again before of this.
We had a takeaway through just eat. It took an hour and a half turned up cold and greasy. Completely inedible. Have had some in the past but this was definitely the worst. I phoned after an hour and was told it would be about 10 mins only for it to take over a half hour
Phoned direct to save them the Just Eat fee, only to find out it was more expense. When I politely said it was cheaper on Just Eat the person on the phone raised his voice and very rudely said “Why don’t you just use Just Eat then? Why are you wasting my time?”. So much for trying to help a restaurant! Would have been a repeat customer, but will go elsewhere and give someone else my money!
Spent over £40 yes it arrived on time but that’s where the good part ends. The chicken tikka masala had only 5 small pieces of chicken in it witch was swimming in sauce and when put on the plate loads of water came out of it but cost over £7. Then to mine it was so greasy I had to throw most of it in the bin. As for the others pretty sure they were only being polite when they said there’s wasn’t to bad yet left loads. Safe to say we won’t be ordering from here again.
