My encounter with this flower shop left me deeply disappointed with the experience and extremely shocked at how rude the owner is. Not only was the owner incredibly rude, but the staff also interacted with me in a condescending manner. I was looking to purchase flowers on behalf of my mum who wanted to send flowers to the people who helped her through chemo treatment. During this stressful time I wasn’t expecting to have added stress due to dealing with awful people. I believe it’s important for businesses to treat their customers with respect and kindness, regardless of the situation. In this case, my experience was far from that ideal. I hope that the owners take this feedback to heart and work towards creating a more welcoming environment for all customers. Until then, I cannot recommend this flower shop to others who are seeking a positive and respectful shopping experience. Shop elsewhere!
We used Lily of the Valley florist for our wedding flowers. Right from the start, they were just perfect. They gave us brilliant advice on the flower arrangements, taking on what we had in mind and adding to it perfectly with their expertise. All of the flowers on the day were perfect and really elevated the entire day. We could not have been happier with the service or the flowers and we kept getting compliments about how amazing the flowers were on the day. We have also been to the florist outside of the wedding order and they have always been utterly brilliant. Great service, a great selection and one of the highlights of Slaithwaite town centre.
I booked my wedding flowers with lily of the valley. We went in initially for a quote due it's close proximity to our wedding venue and when we left I knew that's where I needed to get our flowers from. Janet was so warm and friendly and from the ideas I gave her she was quick to come up with suggestions and guidance. This is a lady who's really knowledgeable of her trade and craft and I left with the best feeling. The flowers that arrived on the day were absolutely stunning, far surpassing any expectation I might have had. I actually cried when I saw my gorgeous bouquet that fit so perfectly with my wedding theme! Fabulous attention to detail and I would definitely recommend this florist!
I wanted to get a bouquet to surprise my wife as she had been talking about peonies- red and huge. I decided to support a local business and Lily if the Valley is only a couple of miles away from home. I phoned at 4pm and spoke to the owner. She told me what I could get and sorted it all to fit my meagre £30 budget and be delivered the next day. The following morning I was feeling guilty about only spending £30 and phoned back to increase the order. The owner described the whole bouquet and assured me that it looked great and I didn't need to spend more. The flowers duly arrived on time, delivered by a cheerful lady who found us in our back garden. Three days later, the peonies have all opened beautifully and are huge and deep red/pink. My wife keeps commenting how beautiful they are and the bouquet itself. I thoroughly recommend this florist. Thanks for everything. Mark
It is worrying when you order a bouquet from hundreds of miles away because your daughter is moving house on her birthday and you need the flowers delivered late on a Saturday afternoon. If you live anywhere near this florist please put yourselves in their hands for any occasion, they were wonderful. Owner realised my daughter did not want to be hunting for a vase, after moving in and the flowers are stunning; to top it all she pulled up besides my daughter and asked her where the house was!
Just seen the flowers you delivered our mother in law at Greenacres Care Home in Meltham yesterday. Absolutely outstanding. What a pleasure to have our expectations exceeded - so rare in this day and age - thank you so much! 5 star service start to finish! We will be back!
Came in for a bouquet for Grandma’s 97th birthday. Fantastic service and beautiful flowers, she was very happy to receive them. I definitely recommend!
