Decided to try this establishment instead of the ones we regularly use in Stockbridge. Never again. Absolutely appalling customer service by a surly owner/cook when challenged about his decidedly below par food (which arrived half an hour after ordering), plus an additional charge we were not made aware of after we asked for a vegetarian option breakfast. I take particular exception to my wife being shouted at in front of other customers and accused of “trying it on” when challenging the additional cost! The young front-of-house staff were polite and helpful, no issue with them at all. There are some lovely places to eat in Stockbridge. This isn’t one of them.

Agree with most of the poor comments.It is dated snd in need of money being spent.All the cups ion the table had dirt rings around them and was amazed to see outside sugar and condements on the floor close to 3 dogs. Staff seem unhappy but cant fault the sevice of ours(lady with a tattoo on her arm) it aslo seemed that children (Grandson 1 ) arnt realy wanted.Shsme as location is good.

Lillies is a quaint little cafe themed on Lillie Langtree the old actress. We always pop in for a snack or tea when in Stockbridge.

Avoid at all costs. To the Manager/Owner, please give up your day job and hire someone who can run a cafe. You have a beautiful location and you’ve run it into the ground. Visited today half way through a lively walk, sat down to the only remaining table outside, full of the last customers dirty plates and glasses, after 10 mins had to chase up the staff so we could order. Another 10 mins before the table was emptied (not cleaned). Drinks came, coffees which were badly made and luke warm. Food came, ordered 2 of your weekly ‘special’ tarts which had practically raw pastry and raw potatoes. We left most of them. Few points: Several customers came and left and we could hear them all complaining about the service. You have no baby changing facilities, really? No disabled facilities as far as we could see, is that even legal? Teach your staff customer service skills as they appear not to be a quality you looked for when hiring. You openly berated a member of staff while I was waiting to pay who had literally done nothing wrong incredibly unprofessional while in front of customers and I’m assuming it’s not the first time. I should have checked your food hygiene rating before visiting, I honestly don’t expect it to be very high after my visit. I’ve got more I could say but I’m getting bored and looking at other people’s comments it’s likely you never read them anyway.

I've been to this lovely place twice this year. I come up here for work. I had a great experience on the first visit, that I was looking forward to visiting again for afternoon tea. Its cosy, warm and lovely atmosphere. I was seated as soon as I walked in, and served within 5 minutes, very yummy scones with lots of clotted cream (yum). I found the staff friendly and welcoming. The menu had a good variety of food for reasonable prices. I recommend it and will be back next time I'm in the area.
