Wont be going back. Flippant attitude. Took no interest in me as a person. No head massage this time. Rushing me to get out of the chair. What a waste of money. Felt like i was a chore. Went home and washed out the blow dry and experience.

I have had kerastraight treatment 4 times now. Each time I've loved the results but it hasn't lasted long. I was advised that I just needed a sulphate free shampoo. I used the shampoo provided but found it expensive at £35 for the shampoo and conditioner so I shopped around for a cheaper shampoo. The last time I had the treatment I was in november, when I got to the salon I was told the price had increased by £80! I was offered a free hair cut and booster treatment when I book another colour/haircut as an apology. Since then I've discovered that you should not use shampoo's with sulphates or sodium chloride as this strips the keratin from your hair. I told the salon today that I had been advised wrongly and the person stood and told me that he would have advised using the kerastraight shampoo or one from their salon and nothing from supermarkets! No apology for the fact that my treatment hasn't lasted very long due to their lack of advice! So disappointed and upset that I wasted a lot of money on something which should have lasted a lot longer and I was made to feel like it was my fault. Then I asked which shampoos they would recommend from the salon other than kerastraight and almost bought one containing sodium chloride! I had just had a keratin booster treatment which would have been ruined had I not checked the ingredients!

I drive one hour to have my hair done here and I think it's a lovely salon with terrific stylists. They all get on well, communicate well and go out of their way to give you what you ask for. I've been passed around stylists a bit with people leaving, but have now settled with Jay who has styled my hair twice and it's been wonderful. I am very happy with Jay's work and dedication to the changes my hair has undertaken.

After spending years searching for a good salon, I thought I'd found one in Lifestyle - that was until my most recent visit.
Since being a customer of Lifestyle's I've had a number of hairdressers, and on the whole I'd been really impressed with the friendliness and good standard of the staff. That can't be said for the hairdresser I had during my most recent visit.
I picked this particular hairdresser as she was one of the only ones available at the date and time that suited me. I immediately regretted my decision. The lady that I had was incredibly rude and made me feel like a total chore the whole time.
After running her fingers through my hair whilst asking what I would like done with my hair, she started huffing and puffing about how I should have told them when booking my appointment that I have 'thick hair' as they would need extra time to cut my hair - I've been to Lifestyle on a number of occasions now, and this is the first I'd heard of this! She then checked my customer record on the computer, and then explained that I should be paying an extra £10 because of my 'thick hair', she couldn't understand why this wasn't already on my record, and she told me that she'd now added a note to my record so in future I would pay an extra £10 - again something I'd never heard of on my visits before! I was absolutely disgusted and offended by this, how is it fair that I should have to pay an extra £10 for a haircut just because I have 'thick hair', the hair that I was born with and can't do anything about! As well as this, the times I've been before, this has never been the case, so why now?!
My entire time at the hairdressers, she spent huffing and puffing, everything seemed to be a problem for her - from the fact my hair soaks up a lot of water and therefore takes a while to dry, to my hair being quite knotty, to my hair being quite dry in places due to having previously been bleached. It became insulting the number of times and way she criticised the condition of my hair.
I was also disappointed to learn that she is the type of hairdresser that doesn't listen to what you want in a hair cut, and will cut your hair to they way she wants it cut. I wasn't happy with the way that she cut and styled my hair, but as she'd already been so rude to me, I didn't have the guts to tell her it wasn't what I'd asked for.
I left the salon feeling incredibly disappointed and angry. Unfortunately after such a bad experience on this particular occasion, I won't be returning to the salon nor will I be recommending the place to anybody! I guess my search for a good salon continues.
