Displayed many items at lower price and charged higher at checkout was completely illegal, but neither store manager nor the store colleague acknowledged their illegal action. They think its okay, store colleagues has no respect towards the customer, they get offended if you approach them with complain. They just start disputing with the customer to cover up their fault and sounds like never been trained on basic concepts of consumer law. Store manager Gav doesn't know that it is legal requirement to ensure products are displayed with correct price. I would strongly recommend everyone to report them the trading standards for their activities. This needs to be stopped and I have already reported them to the trading standards as well
This place has decent prices and some great random items. The bakery section is impressive, as are the German meats in the chiller. You can do a very good budget Oktoberfest or Christmas market at home from shopping here. The staff are very helpful when called upon. The carpark is surprisingly huge once you turn in off the high street, with plenty of spaces available.
Yes I do agree some time machine don't work wait long time scan items and check out only one til open or 1 staff they more tils and staff because machine broken then go the check out I like sandwich and I do few shopping every time something run out or need buy more things I like lidl not alidi because you can't find what looking for in alidi then lidl and looking in trolley not in lidl they don't and staff not polite not help ful I most shop at lidl and like drinks and smooth es are my favourite ones more you can bargain for and veg sausage s love them and my cheese cake ice cream on hot day
No one at the till there's always long queues and half of the cash machines don't work. When buying pastries be careful there's many people picking up pastries with their hands and putting it back, also mosquitos. Shopping baskets and cash machines they are not very clean.
Yesterday I was buying something for my son and I only had 1£ in coins. The guy did not accept me paying with 2 pence coins, which is against the law to refuse this, another client had to pay my article, and they still kept all my coins. There's always long queues, half of the machines are not working, there's never people at the till to attend and the place is very unclean. Aldi is a lot better and is very similar but much cleaner and the staff there are very professional.
