Fantastic shopping experience. Bakery is great. Middle aisle is great. Good variety of items. if you're a student you can get here using the U2C bus from a lot of major halls sites which make it a go-to place for everyday goods.nnsuperior to Waitrose but not tell them I said that. Even Southampton Football Club is better managed than this store. Self-checkout queues almost out the door while half remain closed. This is a financial decision presumbly as one person can’t possibly monitor 6 extra SELF-checkouts. Maybe the store manager should help out rather than counting their bonus?

Love Lidls, most people have been in one, this one is super busy all the time, so do check your times when you pop around. Decent size store, has everything you need. Do be careful though as had my wallet taken there, no fault of the store. Like i said super busy

I always used this store and never had a problem until last week. I was unwell and have invisible health conditions of cfs and fibromyalgia. I asked the checkout lady could she please just stop pushing the items down the conveyer belt as I was struggling to put in the bag and it was causing me a problem. She gave me the most evil look didn’t say anything and continued. I had almost finished being served and she started on me out of the blue saying nobody else has had a problem before me and started ranting, I told her everyone is different and just because nobody else has said anything I am struggling to get things into the bag. She just kept on and on. She was so rude, I asked for my receipt and asked if her name was on it which she said no and then opened her jumper and said there is my name. I had explained to her I was not well and she didn’t care. It’s not the way you expect to be treated in anyway shape or form from a member of staff. Her name was Anda and I was high humiliated in the store that I have not returned since. I cannot believe the way she spoke to me and told me off like I was a child just for simplying asking her if she could stop pushing the items down the rollers so fast and hard. I will be contacting the store in regards to this matter

Just been to Lidl in Banister Road southampton, this was my first time I have visited the store as I was passing through, was served on the checkout by a person called Paul, I rarely do reviews on a business, but had to leave one on the experience I had, his friendly approach and attitude was excellent, during the conversation he commented that he was a new started, he made me feel welcomed, and I left the store feeling a valued customer despite it was my first visit, I will definitely be returning and will tell my friends about the experience. Well done
