We usually shop at Asda, but we're trying to give this store, which is very local to us, a chance to prove itself worthy of our time and cash- unfortunately, it very much isn't.nnPros- Good car park, bright and tidy store, great fruit and veg, some good prices, good trolleys.nCons- Lacks many common essentials, sometimes not the cheapest, some floors were stained and dirty, no self-checkouts or self-scanning, no offer from the checkout operator to help us pack.nnBottom line- we were hoping to be able to do a regular full weekly shop here, but unfortunately that won't be possible.nnPS- following our last shop there we discovered that we had been overcharged on some strawberries, so had to return to the shop to claim the difference. The bearded checkout man we saw was very surly, devoid of any courtesy or apology. Lidl- you really need to look at your recruitment and training system.
It's much cleaner than ours in Manchester! Always like calling when that way! More staff than ours! Bread area people use the forks provided more rather than handling the bread, which always puts me off! Should have the same system as spain where a customer can not physically touch the bread!
They had most of what we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Customers not so. Although frustrated because being disabled and travelling with my two grandchildren, I took longer than they were happy to wait. No-one offered to help though.
Regularly use this store it is always well stocked and clean. Staff are helpful too.
