Come here fairly often for a top-up shop, very handy for bits and bobs.nOnly grumble I have is on Sundays it does get quite busy & could do with more checkouts open. Also staff could be more mindful of where they are leaving storage trollies etc - they often take up a lot of space leaving little room to get down an aisle with a trolley.
This is the flagship Lidl store in our area. Good parking and nice fresh food. Bakery always has some offer on the go.
I think everybody thought Sunday afternoon wouldn't be busy, and we all went at once!nThe things that usually sell out on Sundays in other stores like Double Cream were in plentiful supply and as soon as the queue looked busy, more and more aisles were opened, so 92 year old mother didn't get uncomfortable standing for too long.nThe aisles are wide enough for people to pass her agonisingly slow trolley manoeuvres without getting too frustrated and the car park is easy to navigate with sensible spacing between cars and minimal distance to walk.nYou do need a pound coin or similar sized disc to get a trolley but at least that means they aren't left around to blow into your car.nThey've got better at lighting - Lidl sometimes had spot lights that gave me migraines but I'm fine these days, they are properly pointing at the stock and not my face!nSome good prices to be found, especially if you're willing to try the unfamiliar equivalents, and often interesting new foods and random items in the homeware aisles - I seem to come home with unusual tools that I'll never use except as ornaments‍ I have a box of various ends that fit on taps - just not _my_ taps... but they're shiny! You've been warned.
Spent £200 on food for my child’s second birthday party. Parking Eye the company they subcontract their car park to have done me for £90 because I stayed 1hr38mins. Apparently you can only stay 1hr30m. Called Lidl to see if they are actually serious. They said they won’t help. Won’t ever shop there again. Cannot believe it.
Glad they brought it a lidl closer to me. The bakery section can't be walked past.nnInvariably I go in for a pint of milk and come out with a new power tool. Update today went in for milk and came out with a tap
