Good range but as usual only 2/3 till operators each with massive trolley loads. Only went in for 2 things, waited 15 minutes at the checkout.nGet some self scan machines.
Went to pay for something at the tills and realised the plastic seal on the potatoes was compromised and so we were about to put it back and cashier said “well don’t put it back if it’s broken” Ok fine. So I give it to her and she gets up to put it in the reject basket or whatever and then she says “to be fair it’s still sealed even though it’s broken” so I go over to her and point at where the hole is with my finger and say it’s compromised there. Then she says “well it is now” in an annoyed tone like I’d just gone over to her to sabotage an item to prove myself right.nnOther than that specific bad customer service run-in- the shop is absolutely shocking and always in disarray. Yoghurts are usually putrid and bitty Meats are almost always punctured and leaking juice all over bags. Veg is awful. Eggs almost always cracked. You have to check ABSOLUTELY EVERY ITEM before going to the till because it’s impossible to come out of here without a bad experience or wasting money on compromised items. It’s all GMO cheap rubbish. It just feels really icky when you shop there.
Great selection of products at fair prices. Checkout quick and easy. Plenty of car parking.
Went here to get a few bits with our toddler after being on the railway. He has just started potty training and needed a wee while we were in there. We went over to the customer toilet, but it turned out it was out of order. So we got our travel potty and we sat in front of the toilet out of the way and did his wee. Then a manager came over and told us what we were doing was highly inappropriate in front of our 2yr old and it makes people uncomfortable and we can't do it it. He was round a corner and had a big coat on no one could see anything, and despite that he's a toddler thats potty training - get a grip mate, they have to go when they have to go and thats ok!nWon't be going back to this or another!
Absolutely loved it when Lidl opened up and dominated Tunbridge Wells! They have improved a lot recently with service and efficiency - also with the introduction of Lidl Plus, it makes shopping there even more economical.nnParking is great, a good variety of surrounding shops.
