Recent Glossop Lidl shopper, impressed with the range and the prices.nSometime have a short wait at the checkout but thats not a big deal to me. The team are friendly and helpful and the shop always looks clean and well presented.nThank you to everyone that makes it happen.
Very big Lidl, lots of products! A few veg we bought expired faster than their expiry date which was a shame.nnWhen you book an Uber inside this Lidl, the driver gets directed to another area of the retail park. Beware! Especially when it’s raining and you just want to go home.nnOther than that, great place.
It's lidl so you really know what they sell and the prices they sell at, always good value.nnThere is one BIG problem: there are never enough tills open. OK its not as busy as Aldi but they still let the queues get long before they get around to opening another till to deal with the queue. This is quite different to Aldi where they open & close continually to manage the queues. This may be a management problem at the Glossop store or simply a Lidl staffing problem but it really downgrades the experience
Lidl seems to be bright and spacious, it has it's own bakery Inside, which makes it hard to resist buying freshly.ade bread. There's a good choice of products and the staff seem really helpful.
Great little shop. Try to go every so often just for different ideas, to try and stop that stuck in a rut feeling you get when you stick to the same supermarket week in week out. The bakery section here is really good especially the pretzels!
