Was pleasantly surprised by this place. We dropped in while passing by and were very pleased that we did! Some of the best ice cream I've ever tasted. Would definitely go back!
Awesome sundaes. Highly recommend stopping here. Even a coffee comes with a tiny cone if eating in. Retro styling 1950s swing skirts worn by the staff and elvis hanging out too! There are toilets inside should you require them.
Great selection of ice cream sundaes and other sweet treats. Served quick, indoor and outdoor seating available but inside is hot. I don't think there's any air con which is a shame.
We've tried several times in passing to get an ice cream from here but it's either been too busy or closed. Today however it was quiet and the weather was nice so we sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed out sundaes.
Reading the reviews I'm not sure if I've just caught the diner on bad days or if I'm fussiest than most. Unfortunately I have to say the diner is a little over rated. Attended recently and we were 1 of 2 parties in the diner and waited so long to be served, we had food and then I've cream and waited around 20 minutes stood at the desk to order the I've cream. The kids enjoyed the Ice cream...however they are kids and it is ice cream....a little expensive fit the slow service and underwhelming experience.
Our first visit here with family Christmas eve, the grandchildren love their ice creams, but we had a lovely bacon and sausage bun with a Raspberry milkshake. Best milkshake in a long time and the food great. Staff very friendly, and to finish it off Santa popped in and had a chat and photo taken with each family, the grandchildren loved it. Will definitely return next visit, well done to all the staff.
Nice ice-creams but they aren't really worth the money.
One of the original seaham greats! Authentic 50s diner feel great selection of ice creams and the sundaes are out of this world! Quick service and reasonably priced a must visit for residents or tourists!
Visited here on Saturday and there was a big wait but boy was the wait worth it. Wonderful flavours and great tasting icecream. The waffles were amazing too. Wait and enjoy the treats. Enough place to sit in. Good service too in spite of being very busy
First ever visit and it was really nice. It can be easy to miss as the outside signage is not as obvious as it could be. The ice cream was really nice, for five stars I would like a little more choice and it's a touch expensive, probably about what you would expect from this sort of specialist ice cream parlour. You can sit in or takeaway. Staff were all smiley and friendly and we enjoyed every one of the seven different flavours we had between us.
