Visited on 15/8/2024 with my partner and brother, a lovely large antiques centre with a large array of items, something for everyone. My partner made two purchases, one of them a German Mothers cross, he is very happy with them. The two gentlemen working in there are very friendly and helpful, and also very obliging when coming to haggling and making a deal which works for both you and the dealers/Antiques centre. One of the very best antique centres we have ever visited and the best one in Lichfield ! We look forward to returning again in the future to see what other items we may be able to pick up at good prices. Thank you so much for an all round lovely experience. We cannot wait and look forward to returning again.
Deserved five stars but downgraded to one after the cashiers rude comment on checkout. We travel the world retrieving antiques and collectibles and traveled from Washington DC to England and happened upon this antique shop in Lichfield under guidance of Google Maps on our return trip from Cambridge to Liverpool. It was an easy stop and car parking was plenty and reasonably priced. We enjoyed browsing the three or four rows of locked glass cabinets containing various collectibles and jewelry. If you want an item you’ll need to cite the cabinet number and inform the cashier who will retrieve the appropriate key and unlock the cabinet. Collectively, on our trip we spent several thousand dollars on antiques and collectibles and in Lichfield, we inquired if there were any discounts offered for multiple item purchases. The elderly lady cashier behind the counter said she would entertain discounts only on checkout. A man behind the counter working with her also stated “we can offer a discount on anything over 20 pounds” and after the lady tallied our items at 183 British pounds, she looked up and said “unfortunately since you shopped so frugally, I’m unable to provide any discounts” We weren’t worried about saving five or ten pounds. It’s your mouth that deserves the one star rating lady.
Visited today. Very nice place. Everyone can find something interesting. Bought a silver ring in a good price. Will definitely come back again.
Large array of items in a cute building in Lichfield, however very disappointed to see quite a big number of certain old ‘German’ memorabilia being sold so freely. Badges, pins, flags displayed in a cabinet right next to kids toys. These kind of antiques I definitely think should not be 1 sold in general 2 displayed so prominently. Swiftly left the shop and won’t be returning
The place is amazing. The male cashier is wonderful. However, the elderly lady behind the tills is very rude. I collect Victorian artefacts and was given money for my graduation. I found a cute little print that was selling for a pound. I could not find anything else that I wanted, so I decided to pay. However, I only had £10 and £20 on me and my bank card was at home. She asked if I had a pound and explained I did not. Resulting in her tutting, shaking her head and speaking under her breath. How hard is it to count £9?!. Did she expect me to not pay? You are a very rude lady and should treat people better. It is not hard to be nice to people. To the male cashier, you are wonderful and I apologise that you have to work with such a rude woman. The stock is also lovely! Such great choice.
My favourite Antique Centre in Lichfield chockfull of lovey and interesting and antique and vintage items of all kind below some of the items I purchased I’m very pleased with them all !
Visited this delightful centre again this afternoon. Good variety of quality collectables at very reasonable prices. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Lovely visit.
Decent shop floor with many cabinets. I picked up a Roman coin, an ancient Egyptian vase and a Persian piece of bronze work. However after 30 minutes of research at home I established that the bronze work and vase were fakes. Thankfully the people gave me back my money.
I always enjoy looking around here when I visit. Don't think I've ever left empty handed!
Something for everyone in there it's quite spacious staff are friendly.
