I do not use the library to borrow or renew any books so cannot comment on their book collection or loan facilities. I mainly, and frequently, use the library as a free study space and have found it a good place to focus barring the occasional noise from babies crying and people talking. I've found that the noise is somewhat reduced in the 'Quiet' area upstairs. The library, from my experience, is always clean and always warm, and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Unlike the other recent reviewers on here, I haven't once found the place to be overrun by the "homeless/junkies/druggies/generally unclean" "burping, farting, coughing", using the library as a shelter "without any consideration towards other people". Nor has the library become a "doss house". (How dare people use a PUBLIC library to keep warm during winter eh?!). However, I go to the library to get on with my work rather than spend my time stereotyping and discriminating, or erroneously passing judgement on who is human enough and thus deserving enough to share a public space with.

Just like someone else said before me, the library itself would be good but it serves as a shelter for beggars, druggies and generally unclean people, some coughing horribly. I understand that it's winter and some kindness should be shown but I'm afraid to make a 2min trip to the loo without taking my full baggage with me and need to avoid some areas completely due to the smell.. It's shame because otherwise this place would be perfect for quiet study and work with comfortable tables and chairs and good light.

average. really needs more books. I'm looking for three of them and they don't have it The staff is very friendly and helpful. Today i saw two girls chating and one of them with her foot on one table...and one men with a particular smell too.Un bonito lugar pero le falta Los tres libros que buscaba no estaban un ejemplar de cada uno ( libros de el llamado ciencia espiritual) el personal muy atento

I have been at the library four times, because I wanted to spend some time studying in a place which is supposed to be quiet. Well, all four times I found: - students/people whispering and even talking aloud - babies crying - people using their mobile phone - homeless/junkies burping, farting, coughing and stinking of pee and alcohol, using the library as a shelter without any consideration towards other people The library itself is fine, but it really needs some sort of access control.
