Lewisham Islamic Centre is located in a peaceful and accessible neighbourhood in the heart of the lewisham, near to lewisham NHS.nIt is known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The diverse community is friendly, and newcomers are greeted with open arms. It truly lives up to its name in fostering unity among worshippers.nThey offers regular prayer services, including Jumu'ah Friday prayer Kuthba 1:20 & Namaz 1:30 Pm , It's a relief, especially for people who want to visit NHS.This making it a meaningful part of the local community.
We attended Friday prayers at LIC as a family. From the volunteers to the congregation members, everyone was so helpful, kind and welcoming. The women's section had a dedicated hall for female attendees with children, which really makes the children and mothers feel catered to. The congregation was beautifully diverse, alhamdulillah, which truly speaks to the inclusive feeling the mosque staff and volunteers have created.nIt was clear there was a huge muslim community in the area and that this is a mosque that is in much need of expansion, iA! However, the volunteers and staff seamlessly have a conveyor belt of worshipers going in and out with multiple prayer rounds.nThe khutbah was relevant and succinct. The imam clearly knows how to make a point so that attendees of a wide age range and grasp of English can understand and feel.nThe prayer facilities were clean and well kept. There are plenty of stewards to help and guide attendees. It was a lovely holiday jummah trip with the kids and my husband, alhamdulillah! We will be coming back again iA

Good prayer area for women, but the toilet needs to be bigger and outside of the prayer room. The location is good and a blessing for people traveling to that region.
Very welcoming and helpful for me to find a suitable place of prayer and chance to relax for a while. Lovely community that is diverse and very active in good works. Very enjoyable - thanks.
