My visit to Levisons turned out to be probably the best retail experience I’ve ever had. First of all, the owner Michael is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the particular cuts, fabrics and design features of each garment he sells. His range of stock is far more curated, interesting and unique than almost any other vintage store I’ve visited and I’ve been to probably a hundred around the world. He even ran around the corner to buy me a box of plasters that I needed and I hadn’t even committed to buy anything from him. Wouldn’t let me pay him back for it either, what a guy! Thanks Michael for such an experience. You’ve got a customer for life.
Awful experience. The owner is unbelievably rude and obnoxious. Staff was kind enough, got some shoes for me to try. When I decided not to buy and thanked them for their time, the owner Michael Levinson began mocking me, giving false directions for a non existent shop, and embarrass himself in front of his staff with an absurd level of rudeness. If you want to be insulted and mocked this is the shop for you. If not, give this toxic boomer a wide berth and try the many other cool vintage shops in the area. Got a great jacket at Hunky Dory around the corner. Other classics shops are Rokit, House of Vintage and Beyond Retro.
Always love visiting Levisons when in London ; well worth making a trip here the owner & staff are always helpful & welcoming, loads of great one-off pieces. A true Vintage experience a must visit.
Been using Levisons for a number of years now, always found it an absolute pleasure, Mike knows his stuff and is a lovely bloke to boot! Just got a stunning suit, great price, very happy!
Brick Lane has the full spectrum of vintage clothes shops, from the bulk discount cheap-and-cheerful garments that were somehow always passé to la crème de la crème of a bygone generation's finest of finery. Levisons caters to the discerning gentlemen shopping for the latter. The selection is thoughtfully curated and the prices very fair considering the quality. I purchased a three-piece tweed suit for well under £300 and am delighted with it - they even threw in a beautiful silk cravat to complete the outfit. Could this be the new Old Hat?!?

Amazing shop for proper vintage clothing. So different to the majority of vintage shops that seem to focus on volume, Levisons is all about curation. A real find. Oh and Michael is a smashing bloke too.

Wonderful shop! Really interesting vintage clothing. I bought an amazing 40s over coat great condition and really unusual. Great shop! Would not hesitate to recommend!
