I'm one of them dad's that would do anything to avoid going soft play. But this place has changed my mind. I took my 3 year old boy on a Thursday morning, and we had so much fun, we went again Friday afternoon. Clean, good enough coffee bar.. If only they served wine, id be there every friday with my child.
A good soft play, reasonably priced, easy parking although I've only gone off peak so not sure about the amount. The equipment is on the worn side but my 4/5 year old doesn't care and has a great time there. The baby/toddler section is better than at a lot of places with a small slide going into a ball pit, a few soft play bits to clamber on, and a sensory light tunnel. We went in a heatwave and the A/C was good for those seated, but not too effective up on the actual equipment.
Friendly staff and clean environment. Good coffee. My 17 month old enjoyed himself in the toddler area. However, this was a little spoilt by the unruly and boisterous bigger children who should not be in the toddler area but are not parented appropriately and run riot.nnOne little $€¥! knocked my boy over and didn’t even notice. Who knows where his parents were. So, for this reason, I won’t rush back until my boy is older, although the bigger child area was absolutely feral, so, not for the feint hearted. Again, the kids’ lazy parents not controlling their kids’ behaviour.
We come here occasionally and our kids on the whole have a good time, but this review is not about them, it's about the staff members:nnApril 11th 1:30pm session: There was an incident where a kid was going down the big blue slide and unfortunately collided with another kid at the bottom of the slide. Resultantly, the kid who came down the slide ended up with a very bloody forehead and a very deep laceration on his forehead. The other kid was ok.nnTwo staff members arrived with a first aid box and unfortunately that's all they did! They seemed to not have a clue what to do and it generally appeared that they had no First Aid training.nClearly the parents were left distressed with no guidance.nnAs a qualified Senior Physiotherapist, I was able to offer assistance to the child with the parents consent. I put on sterile gloves and cleaned the wound although upon asking for things like gauze or sterile fluid etc, the staff members did not seem to know what I was talking about and were scrambling around the First Aid box looking for it all. So I had to look through their First Aid box myself whilst trying to reassure the parents and their child at the same time, while they just watched! I also did a quick concussion assessment for anything more sinister.nnI advised the parents to take him to A and E as the laceration looked quite deep therefore it was wise to consider whether it required stitches. Although the wound was cleaned, I was unable to apply any compression aids as the kid's forehead was very sweaty. The parents were thankful and made their way to A and E.nnSo, what would of happened if I was not there? I was just another mum with her family that ended up being heavily relied upon instead of the staff members who did not know what to do?nThis tells me that although kids can have fun here and yes other reviews will tell you that, when it comes to any potential injury that may or may not end up serious - the kids are not in safe hands of the staff members.nnI tried to call and speak to the manager before making this review, but all they took down was a message and failed to call me back. Therefore, I am writing this review to emphasise that there needs to be First Aid refresher training amongst all staff here at Let's Explore.nnOur kids should be in safe hands amongst all staff members.nnLast Thursday, myself as well as the many other families were certainly left puzzled and worried by the two staff member's lack of competence with First Aid training.nnFinally, for the safety of the other children who continued to play at the bottom of the big blue slide and for my peace of mind, I told those two members of staff that it would be wise to clean that area from any potential blood staines seen or unseen.nnI'll leave this review at that.
Lovely soft play area. The staff are amazing so helpful and friendly. It's always so clean ,My grandson absolutely loves going there .
