Table at 7, starter at 8, main course at 9 sweet long after 10. Staff complaining "there's only 4 of us" working on a Saturday night. It's not their fault to be fair, it is the kitchen that has to take ownership of that. If coping with a large party of 20 people is too much, don't do it. The service picked up the nearer we got to closing time strangely enough. Mediocre food, watery cauliflower cheese. Way over priced, poor lengthy service. Not the best night for our party, I wouldn't come back even if it were free. You might get better service if you visit in small numbers, larger parties get put downstairs and forgotten about I think. I still find it hard to believe we've just paid £40+ per head on a meal and I've left the place hungry.
A great little place for a quiet and delicious meal in Bishops Stortford. Perfect for special occasions, or just a well-deserved treat. The menu is changed frequently, keeping things fresh, and it's a nice counterpoint to the chain restaurants on the high street.

A very enjoyable meal on Christmas eve. Chorizo and pork belly starter was full of flavour, the bass cooked to perfection. Not the cheapest place to eat but is worth it for the quality of food. Service was also very good.
It was a good experience. The food was wonderful and the service was fantastic. Although I didn't give it five stars because I'm dead inside and I've never loved anything.
We have our anniversary here, and the food was divine. The goats cheese, honeycomb and watercress salad with a rosemary honey vinegar reduction was something i still treasure to this day. This place is amazing.
