We had a delivery issue which wasn't the fault of this restaurant themselves. The service from the restaurant was amazing and they went above and beyond to help me. The delivery company was 'okay'. The restaurant manager did her best to try and put everything right for us and offered us another order the following night which I went and collected. Unfortunately we did not receive the food that we ordered on the first evening as the driver took more than one order and they mixed the orders up! I immediately called the restaurant who went above and beyond to help me. I also called the delivery company themselves who have given me a full refund... Just very very disappointed that drivers are being greedy and taking more orders than what the restaurant want them to take as their actions have caused other people to have inconveniences!! I will continue to use The Tasty Plaice but I won't be getting it delivered, I will collect it personally myself. Their food is tasty, fresh and hot! I will definitely be a regular customer there now! Thank you again for all your help.
Lovely fresh plaice and chips. : My first time here but boy it was treat...it's great when the fish is cooked to order and the batter is so fresh! I'd like to also say thanks to to the hard working staff who were clearly very busy with both walk in's and delivery but had it all worked out and remained calm and friendly! A little bit of a wait but that only adds to the magic of a freshly cooked meal. Much appreciated and i'll see you again soon. :
Decent chippy, not the very best and service a little chaotic. I waited quite a while, but guessing I timed it wrong. Lots of delivery drivers seemed to be a priority and chips could have done with another few mins in the fryer. But pretty good overall and a decent sized piece of fish large portion of chips even though I only ordered a normal portion so good value.
Pleasantly surprised! Having recently moved in town from Wash Common I wanted to give these guys a go instead of travelling to the "other" fish & chip shop. I was really surprised, the portion size was excellent, the food was cooked really well & tasted very fresh. You have just gained a new customer provided that's the experience I get every time :
Love it when fish n chips taste fresh and the batter is still crispy, good portion sizes, friendly staff and proper curry sauce! They even threw in a battered 'pig in blanket' which was so naughty but sooo nice. Proper chippy this, will definitely go back
Me and my partner are on holiday and fancied a takeaway and saw the good reviews so thought would give it a go. Was planning on some chicken chunks and chips but when we walked in they had a new special on....Masala Fish, instantly changed my mind on what I wanted and thought would give it a go and oh I was not disappointed! 10 out of 10! Did not know what to expect but it was delicious. Batter was perfectly crispy and the masala perfect, not too spicy but a lot of flavour. We also ordered chicken chunks,onion rings and chips and all just as the fish was delicious. Possibly best chicken chunks I have ever tried. Staff were also very helpful and friendly, 100% recommend
Amazing place if you want to get fish and chips. Totally recommend!! Been here before but was disappointed but recently been there again and what a change. Loved the food and service was great.
Very nice fish and chips would defiantly recommend. We got good sized portions, It was cooked very well and at a good price. Staff were very polite and welcoming . Will defiantly be returning.
Good hot food,witch I did enjoyed for my family of 5, Ordered 2 masala fish ,1 portion of large chips,1 mushy peas,1 gravy souce ,1 chicken burger and also 1 quater pounder with salad souce and cheese as well as chilled drinks for my kids ,wife,and me include. We did enjoyed the lovely food reason for me to write this review. I am not a guy for reviews normally. Will return again. Vegetarian options: Yes Kid-friendliness: Kids chilled drink available for my fussy kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance on the door , no steps. Dietary restrictions: My wife love chilly so she did ask for sweet chili sauce to get that spicy kick.
Beautiful establishment , excellent service time and great customer service , the fishes batter was crispier then joshes hair line . the only thing that’s brightened my day since I found out that my boss isn’t a postman Vegetarian options: Vegetable Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, gives Lollies out Parking: Not great parking but make up for it with hot employees Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible and helpful employees 2 younguns at front Dietary restrictions: Don’t have more then 2 battered mars bars
