Best decision to stay out of the city, the views were amazing to see, including animals like sheep and horses. As well as this the room was clean and everything we needed for a short trip. The staff member we saw were always happy to help us Definitely plan on coming back
Slightly out of Dublin and chosen for that reason. Arrived to the main buying of the hotel hosting a party but we got checked in and our room was in the court yard away from the hotel so there were no issues with noise. Room was fine with all the required amenities and comfy bed so no complaints.Rooms: 5/5
Rooms are not very clean, they could do with updating, The first room they gave us was a very small attic room in the courtyard, with a tiny window, no natural light, and definitely not large enough to escape in a fire. Asked to be moved, We were then put into another attic room in the courtyard over converted stables which was like a small bedsit from the 1970s / 80s. A little larger than the previous room, but unclean like the previous room, could have done with a good wash and dusting. Because they are badly converted stables with partition stud walls and no soundproofing between the rooms, we could hear people in rooms next to us. So not much privacy. Rooms: Very dated, needs a good overhaul, maybe a good clean in the meantime. Not sure what the rooms in the main house are like, we were put into rooms over converted stables. So don't be fooled by photos on their website, thinking you are getting a luxury room in the main house.
Went for Sunday lunch - the setting is beautiful. Very quiet - we were the only ones seated in the dining room until a large party came in just as we were finishing desserts. Service was ok - servers are a bit green I’d say but no problems. Long time waiting for the food! Food was good when it arrived but a little disappointing. Small, thin slices of very well done beef, mash underneath wasn’t smooth & creamy, veg came in one very hot side dish - which is fine but hard to pass around the table - and was very al dente!! Wouldn’t rush back.
This is a great value hotel. Our spacious room had a sofa and large TV, and the views to the gardens are so beautiful.Rooms: 5/5
Lovely place to stay. Loved being able to wander through the gardens. The room was very comfortable and the staff were attentive and friendlyRooms: 5/5
An absolutely fabulous hotel. The staff and the setting couldn't have been any better. Will definitely stay again.Rooms: 5/5
Over the years I have been to 2 weddings, one baptism and several meetings in this hotel. I have always enjoyed it. Post-pandemic I have popped in there every now and then for a breakfast or a small meeting. I wanted to support them as they are always so quiet. I have always felt very welcomed by all their staff. Until today when I asked for breakfast and have been interrogated by a blond receptionist who not only said that breakfast is usually not served for non-residents but started to question my credibility and inquiring when exactly I was here for breakfast as she did not recognise me. It looks like nowadays the leixlip manor is closed to the locals. A great pity!
Stayed here 5 years ago and it was lovely. Gone downhill, needs updating. Breakfast pretty poor, no tomatoes or sauces. Had to ask for someone to clear away plates, no nice fruit for top of cereal. In room biscuits would be nice? The smoke alarm green light flashes constantly above the bed!! All in all very disappointed.Rooms: 3/5
Beautiful Hotel in a beautiful location. Quiet and peaceful with lovely walled gardens. It has lovely staff and a great selection for breakfast. Rooms are clean, spacious and supplied with tea, coffee making facility along with shower supplies in the bathrooms.Rooms: 5/5
